Topic: Nintendo banned my Mii and blocked my Phone Number

I just checked my miiverse l, since I'm on mobile and it looks like i am not *d anymore. My Mii is Hiccup, though it still shows WiiDSmoker as my NNID.

You can't change your NNID, especially once you've bought something. So no matter what, it'll always show WiiDSmoker beside my name.

Your games are tied to your console, not your username so worry not... You can delete the nasty account from your wiiu, create a new one and continue with your life.

From what I've read, the games are tied to the username. And that is what the Nintendo rep said as well, though I admit I and them could be wrong.

You can play the games with any account you like, it's just that you can't re-download them since the purchases are tied to one account and one system.

Unless you plan on deleting your games and redownload them every time you want to play. I don't see the problem.

It says in the service agreement that once you've typed in your name and created an account, that name is final. Next time you create an account (each WiiU supports 12 NNID accounts) choose a name that wouldn't be seen as inappropriate.

Drug reference aside, if you have been told that you will lose purchased games, and you do, then I would recommend a complaint in writing, addressed to the managing director and head of customer service.

Not only that, it warns you even when you're typing your name that it cannot be anything inappropriate. Even if you didn't intend it to be a drug reference (which I still don't buy due to reasons others have stated), it was your responsibility to make sure the name did not say anything that wasn't family friendly. Obviously the general public wouldn't know what "moker" would mean so it was up to you to look at how it'd be read. I refuse to believe anyone wouldn't see "WiiDSmoker" and not see the drug reference, MAYBE with the exception of a reading disorder. Regardless of how customer service supposedly acted toward you, Nintendo cannot be blamed for data you lose due to the situation, having an appropriate username is your responsibility and actions have consequences. Hopefully you'll put more thought into usernames in the future, even if you're refusing to accept that you did hold at least some of the fault here. I don't mean to lecture you, but Nintendo simply is not to blame for you choosing a username that is so obviously a drug reference and against Nintendo's rules on user content in their online services.

all right, all right — setting his current NNID aside, without Nintendo's customer service line to help them out they're sorta SOL, so let's see if we can't get him going again. As for the bottom line in this topic:

(a) is it possible for the OP to change their Nintendo Network username and regain unhindered access to Miiverse and whatnot?
(b) If (a) is not possible, is it possible for the OP to create a new, inoffensive NNID on the same Wii U and enjoy unhindered access to Miiverse and whatnot via the new username?
(c) if (b) is possible, will the OP still be able to redownload their copy of WWHD and/or play the original download without issue?
(d) is the game purchase tied to the NNID itself or the console? Will the OP still need to keep the 'bad' username around if they want to keep their copy of WWHD since it's already been purchased via that NNID?

We need definitive answers to actually help this person, so let's not joke around, please, guys. Thanks in advance! :3

call costumer service from another phone, say your NNID was censored and ask to change it to something "acceptable" if it doesn't work I doubt anything will....
