I've been using WiiDSmoker since 2005, hell that's even my Club Nintendo name and I've called in tons of times asking about points, promotions, repairs, etc, i.e nothing major. I've spoken to multiple managers before who all loved the username. I even use it on PSN and XBL.
I even have almost 7,000 Club Nintendo points as I am a huge Nintendo fan and before anyone accuses, no I do not do drugs, hell I don't even drink.
I'm baffled at this whole situation.
It surprises me that you'd be using a name like that since you aren't interested in drugs, as the insinuation is incredibly clear to anybody who knows what marijuana is. Anyways, a Club Nintendo account is one thing, of course, since it doesn't involve social interaction - it's just an account where you store coins. On the other hand, though, Miiverse is a "social network" of sorts, and we both know that young kids use it and the Wii U. Nintendo wants to keep things clean - I once had a comment deleted because I wrote "Ron ****ing Swanson" (in that exact way, completely censored) when discussing Parks and Rec (an NBC sitcom, it's great, by the way) and they considered it "vulgar". It's clearly and unavoidably a drug reference, Nintendo doesn't want kids seeing that sort of stuff, so that they can keep up their family friendly image. Take my advice and make a second NNID, then transfer your data over.

1.club nintendo is not a public area like miiverse. 2.you may have just talked to a person with a bad mood. 3.psn and xbl i dont think Sony/microsoft cares. their demographic is over 18+ so...(i do agree nintendo may have over reacted)

CN is NOT an actual online service; it's more like a checking account or something. Point is, you don't use that username for anything but to log onto a non-interactive service.
PSN and XBLA... Well... I'll let you figure that one out.
I sense... a great deal of frustration being released in this thread.

I foresee what you'll do there.

I don't buy the whole Wii DS Moker argument but just to be sure I looked up the band Moker. Turns out there are two bands named Moker, one is a Belgian Deathcore band and the other is actually a Jazz band... also from Belgium. Both of them are fairly obscure, neither of them have a Wiki Page, but the Jazz band is particularly obscure.
....... I would maybe believe the story if the OP wasn't American

Honestly the thing that makes me not believe the whole Wii DS Moker thing is the fact that he spells it WiiDSmoker. Now if he spelt it WiiDSMoker or WiiDS_Moker than maybe I might believe that. But its that fact that he spells it WiiDSmoker that makes it hard to believe.

Well true but the best way to prove it conclusively is to actually look at the details. Good example would be:
Which is inconsistent with the story for two reasons. Firstly Moker's debut and only album was released in Belgium in 2005. Unless the OP has a personal connection to that artist it seems unlikely he would become aware of and enough of a fan of an obscure band on the other side of the world to put it in a username they use all of the time. I don't think there's enough content from that artist for that to happen.
Even more damning is the fact that in 2005 the Wii hadn't even been named yet. This is all the Wii was in 2005:
So I think it's hard to believe that someone would take both the band name "Moker" and the word "Wii" and smash them together before either of them were really ideas at all. That ontop of that the then 21 year old would also not realise that "WiiDSmoker" sounded like "Weed Smoker" . Even weirder that the same person would use that same name across various forums and not think it was anything other than Wii + DS + Moker for a good eight years. I know I'm beating a dead horse here but I think it's worth pointing that out for the one or two people in this thread who actually bought the story.

Lol well played well played. Match point and won good sir.
I figured as much but the fact that you actually looked into it is just great.

Watching that video brings me back to the first time I heard the official name was going to be the "Wii" and I thought it was a joke. "Revolution" is so much better; I wish they'd stuck with that.
A person without a sense of humor is like a wagon without springs. It's jolted by every pebble on the road.
aside from the fact that "weedsmoker" is an extremely childish name...
but what's with all your reactions? his name is "weedsmoker" and NOT "i_like_nazis_and_kill_people_from_other_races"
what's so offensive about "weedsmoker" ??? seriously... talk about overreacting
his Mii was banned and customer service started yelling? that's just ridiculous....
