Even IF there is a two month gap between DKC:TF and MK8, all Nintendo needs to do is bring the most popular classics to the VC, and bam, gap solved. They brought ALttP to the VC recently, and that thing got gobbled up like crazy... All they need to do is look at their classics, and throw several in there, and people will be appeased, lol
If they could just start releasing N64 and GameCube titles on the VC I think everyone would calm down a bit. Seriously, if they released a good game from their back catalog every week they'd have plenty of material to get them through the game droughts.
Next Major game is Mario kart but before that we could probably see some more eshop titles. We still haven't seen what Steel Diver sub wars is and if I had to wager I'd guess its a Wii U game.
WAT!

I would like to have Yarn Yoshi by June as well, been play Kirbys Epic Yarn and suprising that thing nets 40 points at Club Nintendo. I hope Yoshi is also a two player game like Kirby was since they are very similar, but I don't have a clue what the secondary character would be, who do you think it would be?
1. Wii U is the only thing using your time
2. There will be no other games on the Wii U
3. You have no 3DS
I'm sure everything will be fine
Exactly. Since I game on multiple platforms(mainly Wii/Wii U/3DS/DS but some PC, Vita and PS3 thrown in) I'm never really dying to play anything on a certain platform. My backlog is too huge to worry about a month or two of no notable games on a certain platform.
Not that I don't agree but "you have other gaming consoles to play" isn't praising Wii U. XD
ironically, I plan to play Wii U very consistently this year and likely way more than 3DS or anything else.
But expecting a company like even Nintendo to pump out a game a month for one system is just silly. They would have to make at least 12 games not counting 3DS releases

I agree but if they're not counting indie games/non-Nintendo games, they're not worth arguing with in the first place.
and Nintendo can actually totally do that this year tbh
The thing is, as I said before what I was saying was turned into a negative, Nintendo do push out quite a few games. If you look at "Nintendo games" from 2013 you come up with about 33 games they made last year. Of those 11 you'd call smaller indie games and so arguably those don't count. Of those left there were 6 games across both 3DS and Wii U that launched in the period of time we're talking about here. Feburary to May.
Of those I'd be happy to argue that the only "big games" were Luigi's Mansion, Lego City, Fire Emblem and Donkey Kong Country Returns. No third party support there either and that was a pretty good period of games. Especially for 3DS. However now we're sitting back and complaining about the next few months? That we only get DKC:TF, Mario Kart, Layton vs Phoenix Wright and Yohsi's New Island. That's not that bad for this time of the year.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"

Exactly why they should have courted third party developers better.
Retro's next game? Well, DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS 2. And disappointment.
They should just announce two trilogies for Wii U, and by that I mean just making Donkey Kong Country Returns 2 and 3 and Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze 2 and 3. That would be hilarious.
I get a feeling Nintendo is hoping DK, MK, and probably Watch_Dogs will hold down the fort for the first half of the year, then in June they can use E3 to promote their new 'non wearable' console(?), plus release dates for SSB, Bayonetta, X, and Hyrule, and a few more new games. Plus a Zelda reveal for next year.
I think when Iwata says Nintendo need to market towards the USA, it means in part using E3.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
