This is something interesting to try while we wait for New Super Luigi U
http://www.newerteam.com/

Just tested it on my Wii U and it worked but I haven't started playing yet. If this is possible, maybe we'll see a fanmade Newer Super Luigi U in the future?

After playing a few levels of this, I have to say that it's AWESOME
It has many Super Mario World elements in it (Yoshi's house, switch palaces that I haven't gotten yet but I know they're there, new bosses, etc.)...it's almost like an entirely new game in the series

If a team of people who don't even work for Nintendo did all of this for FREE, New Super Luigi U seems like a complete rip-off to me now. But this is a great way to pass the time while we wait in my opinion. It makes NSMBW fresh again!

It's completely legal to use it, what are you talking about?! The only way it would be illegal is if you used a pirated version of NSMBW (which I'm not). If you have the original game then it's completely legal!

Read NSMBW Terms of Use please.
Nintendo did not gave permission for modding their game or to reuse their content.

The content of New Super Mario Bros. Wii isn't being modified on the actual disc in any way. The Wii changes the way the game is loaded by using Riivolution on the Wii.
If doing that was illegal then there is NO way Action Replay would still be in production today. It's the same concept, really. Action Replay changes the way games are loaded to apply cheats and do other things. You can still purchase a Gamecube or Nintendo DS action replay today, and they have been selling for years and years.

i am not sure of the legality of this, but am going to err on the side of caution. NL rules are very clear about modding, roms etc.
