Topic: New multiplatform Pac-Man 3D platformer coming this year.

Wii U is included. There is also 2D Pac-Man 3DS platformer coming this year, but I didn't want to create another topic on it.

EDIT: It's also coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Poor Pac-Man. For a guy who is an icon in the video game industry, he sure doesn't get the proper recognition from games like this.

It feels more like Yoshi than Pacman,Just replace Pacman with Yoshi and the ghosts with boo guys(ghost shy guys)

Looks...inresting...I guess. Well, there aren't enough 3D platformers out there anymore. Worth a shot I guess.

Pac 'n Roll is the only 3D pac-man I ever liked, it'll probably stay like that. I hope they will deliver a proper product though. They should lose that biting sound btw..

I played a 3D Pacman on Gamecube before (Pacman World 2 or something)...it was terrible

I liked Pac Man World 2. That game was great IMO. Hopefully this turns out well.

I've only ever played two Pac-Man games, the original and the Nintendo DS's Pac-Pix. I have a hard time imagining how I would get into a Pac-Man game where he isn't just a yellow circle with a mouth.

I loved Pac-Man World 2. It was one of the first games I ever beat as a kid. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I know it's not one of the best games of all time, but it's one of my favorite games of all time. Sure, that game was a Mario and Sonic clone from the start, but at least it was a clone done right.

Looking at Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures, I just can't say that I'm excited for that game. The design for Pac-Man looks plain ugly, the controls look wonky and uncontrollable, the level design looks bland and careless, and the game itself looks like a blatant Super Mario Galaxy 2 rip-off. Think about it. Flying through tubes in Pac-Man Ghostly Adventures is kind of like Mario flying through space from a Sling Star. The overall platforming style looks like an attempt at a Mario clone done by an indie developer. The Yoshi rip-off power-up is obviously copying Yoshi's play-style from Super Mario Galaxy 2.

It's a shame to see what happened to my hero Pac-Man. Not only did they make him look worse and bring down the quality of his games, but they even got rid of almost all the past characters, including Ms. Pac-Man. Namco, please bring back classic Pac-Man and the classic characters, and make a Pac-Man World 2-styled Pac-Man World 4, and make a Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness 2. No more of these mediocre Mario/Sonic clones. Please, Namco?

Wow, I really got to come up with a comment. I'll only post it in your video's comment section though, not in this thread.

I freakin' loved Pac N' Roll. Definitely a hidden gem in the DS library.

As for this, I think it could be OK, but based on the trailer, there are things that should be change/edited/removed, like the munching sound effect.

Also, I love the new Pac-Man design. The old one kinda gave me the creeps when it was in 3D. I didn't have a problem with it when it was 2D artwork, though...

I know this game is based on the television show and all, but I still have my hopes up. The trailer didnt say much about the gameplay itself but the music were pretty catchy (^-^). I will problably pick this up. I like Namcos games although they arent really the prettiest or the most... appealing in terms of mainstream. Had lots of fun with Tank Tank Tank.
