Topic: Netflix on Wii U.

Looks good but I cant imagine watching anything on such a low quality screen like the one pf the wii u gamepad.

I watch Netflix on the 3DS, so this could be cool.

For reference, is the Wii U GamePad's screen worse than the Kindle Fire's? If so then I'll be fine with my pseudo-"Netflix on Wii U" setup of my KF, a remote desktop app, and and HDMI cable.

Pretty sure it is. Its 854 X 580 while he fire is 600 X 1024 and most 10 inch tabs going at 1900 X 1200 or in he case of the ipad 2080 X 1536.

Why would you watch videos on the tablet when you have a TV right there? And 480p on a 6" screen? .... that's poor DPI for a screen?

Well you'd be able to watch Netflix on the tablet while someone else watches TV, or I'm guessing even in a different room, depending on the range. I doubt I'll use it for video but I think a lot of people will.

TBH I don't think I've ever really watched videos on a portable device while infront of the TV. Internet and games? Definitely. Videos? Nope. That said I can definitely see the appeal of using the Wii U tablet to navigate. All of the wins of integrated TV youtube etc and remote control apps but without the clunkyness and control lag.

Netflix on Wii was surprisingly good despite people's expectations, but Netflix on Wii U.... it's going to be a beast. HD and a smart controller in your hands that you can switch the actual stream anytime you want. Amazing.

I suppose it'd be good if it streamed to both TV and tablet simultaneously so I could go to the bathroom/kitchen without pausing.

I dont know I watch Netflix on my 3DS and my Samsung Galaxy Blaze when I am in bed at night so I cant see the Wii U tablet being any worst.

I just want Youtube,and other Tube sites.
