I adore the original Most Wanted. I need more games for my Wii U, so I'll probably get this real soon, but how is the online play (there is online play, yeah?)? What modes are there?

Online play is aaaaawesome. It's controlled chaos. There aren't really any modes, though. You join a game of I think up to 8 players, and then five events are listed for you all to do. The game says 'drive to the starting point,' so you race to the start of the event. From there, it'll tell you what to do. There are sprints, races, team races, and challenges (like landing on something from a jump, getting long drifts, etc). Once that's done, race to the next event!

My favorite part is that when an event is starting, you don't get warped into a start position and you can start going as soon as you realize what to do, even before it says "Go."

I should start before I rave more about it

I thought there was a mode where someone could play as a cop and chase the racer? Or am I mistaken?

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

You're thinking of NFS Hot Pursuit, I think.

I'm really happy to hear this game selling out mostly everywhere. That origin sale and Target Buy 2 and get 1 for free, really paid off. I'm still waiting for my copy to come in the mail.

Not sure if it being sold out is a good thing really. Quite a few Australian retailers had it up for pre-order right up to the day before release and then they took it off their sites entirely. The only site that has a stock checker is JBHiFi and the day before launch they were only listening it as available in three shops across the state. After a weekend it's now only available in two shops. So I'm pretty sure the lack of stock has to do with EA producing very, very low volumes more than anything else. Wouldn't be surprised if most stores here that don't have any stock never got any stock.

Yeah, even worse with the Wii U it seems. We had to wait till about February for Trine 2 to appear on the eShop and Mighty Switch Force HD isn't out yet both of which had been out in "EU" for months. At this rate we'll get Wind Waker HD before Bit Trip Runner 2 appears on the eShop

but good news everybody! After checking about five shops I found two copies at an EB Games and they price matched.

I'm still waiting for my copy from Origin to get to me. It's been a week since I ordered, and I got the tracking number of Thursday. Unfortunately, it still says the following about it....

"The tracking information is incorrect or the tracking data is not yet available. Verify the tracking information or try again at a later time."

I've been having a wonderful time with this game. I need to try out the multiplayer soon.

Also, I hate seeing Willobee on every billboard/speed camera. I need to fix that.

Best thread ever
Feel free to add me on Miiverse or PSN.

Sorry about that if it's any consolation, skywake is on top of every freakin' billboard and speed camera I drive by. I'm doing my best to resolve that.

I really like this as a way to integrate other players into the single player though. It's not intrusive at all, and it's juuuust enough to make you want to challenge them for top spot.

You have to enter it manually or ups on the tracking to find out what's the status. It took me a week to get it

Neither worked, but after a little digging, I found out what needed to be done. Searching the Origin Store's Customer Service section about Tracking numbers, I came across this bit of information - https://help.ea.com/article/tracking-game-deliveries-with-tra...

Going through the regular UPS site didn't work, but this part of UPS does. Based on their estimate, I should get it today (it's just past midnight here in California).

My save file has a glitch I cannot unlock the Alfa Romeo 4C from it's Most Wanted race in single player. If I beat it and immediately take it down, the car doesn't appear in my list and the race says that I have yet to win. If I beat the 4C and it escapes me, it won't appear driving around again like any other car would.

Anyone else having this issue? I've tried a few times to get it, no dice. No huge loss since I would probably drive it once and never again, but it's a bit irksome.

I'm not exactly sure what is causing it, but if I had to guess it would be that I unlocked the 9th Most Wanted car first, instead of the 10th (the Alfa). So to whoever else intends to play this game, it might be worth making sure you unlock number 10 instead of skipping ahead

I remember reading that the cop AI is kinda meh. Is that true?

Also, are there missions relating to just chases in this? The original MW had "Bounty", and multiple missions where you had to just escape a pursuit after X amount of time, or destroy X amount of police cruisers, etc. Is this one just racing against other racers, but with cops thrown in?

Cops seem decent to me. There's six levels of enforcement, one being weak, six being tough as nails. Obviously the cops at one are a joke, but once they get to I think three, you start seeing cops in corvettes that can drop spike strip[s right in front of you, and some of the cops absolutely love to ram you.

In single player, there are circuit races, sprint races, runs where you must maintain an average speed, missions where you must escape the cops, aaaaand maybe other things I can't think of.

As in playable entirely on the gamepad screen? Yeps.

Cool. Thinking I'll probably pick this up tomorrow. Looked for it at The Source today before work, but they didn't have it. I just fear that since I love the first game so much I might be unavoidably disappointed with this one :/

I was watching some gameplay (of the 360 version). It looks like it's too easy to avoid the cops? He crashed right into a road block, and stalled for a second or two, and still got away fine.

Also, when you crash the game automatically resets you, does that make it too easy as well? You couldn't wreck in the original, so if you slammed into a wall, the cops would just corner you. In this, wrecking resets you on the road, away from the cops who were right behind you. That's what it looks like anyway :/

Also, are there cops online? Or is the online strictly racing?

Anyone receive their copy from Origin yet? Mine was estimated to be delivered to my residence yesterday, but even now, it is still not here.
