i really hope this game sells well. I'm really glad a developer actually put an effort in.

I just read a review from Gaming Trends and they claim other console versions look better and that the Wiiu version is not the best console version. I really hope there wrong I was really looking forward to a ground up version that set it apart from the other consoles. I'm still buying the Wiiu version with fingers crossed they are wrong.

they must of been playing the ios version. I can't see how that's possible as many reviews played the demo of the game, they even have videos of it and you can see it's the better looking on. After all it's based off the PC build

I wish reviewers would clarify if they reviewed final versions or beta. I will post back once I get some playtime in later tonight or tomorrow.

It is downloadable on day one. Also any future DLC will come to the Wii U as well.

This article says DLC isn't coming to this version.

Why do people point to their wrists when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Yeah I saw the news on that. But he said not at the present time. But if you continue to read his feed. He pretty much states, of it sells well it will come.

By the way it's $30 on origin for this week.

Bought it on Origin for a Wii U physical copy for $30. I may not care for EA, but I'm here to support Criterion because they were willing to go "the extra mile" rather than simply "throwing in used parts".

Is there an actual two player mode? With split screen or, one screen on tv and one on the gamepad?

Just to clarify, I mean like two players each with a car. Not that co-driver stuff.

No true two player mode, sadly.

Also, since I had read a ton of reviews of the game on PS3/360/PC, it seems Criterion made quite a few tweaks to the game for us. One big complaint was in single player mode, if you swapped to a different car, you'd be warped to where you found it. In the WiiU version, it swaps the car and you stay exactly where you are.

This game is aaaaawesome.

Well I picked the game up and the review was not even close to being accurate the game is fantastic. The graphics are more on par with PC graphics than any console racer I have played. Finally some third party love to show what the Wiiu is capable of when the devs set the hearts and mind to it rather than a garbage port.

Better review below

In the end Criterion has brought NFSMW to Wii U apparently effortlessly, although I’m sure a great deal of effort actually went into the transition. The game looks and plays better than the previous home console versions, standing shoulder to shoulder with the PC version in terms of graphics, and the added Wii features just sweeten the pot. While many launch window ports on Wii have felt rushed and overall shaky, NFSMWU screams like a V12 roadster doing 160 on the interstate. Whatever Criterion has done, I hope other developers learn how to coax this much raw performance out of the Wii U, and soon.

Grabbed this yesterday along with Mh3u. Will have to actually try it tonight though as mh3u sorta kept me busy last night.

Was going to get a copy of this today but they didn't have any in stock (although there were stacks of Monster Hunter). From what I've heard around the place there aren't that many copies floating around because of poor sales for other Wii U titles. Which sucks. So if I can't find a copy soon-ish at the ~$78 retailers were advertising it for I'll either get it on the eShop (works out to be ~$82 after the premium reward thing) or not get it at all if something else catches my eye....

Not quite sure yet....

I adore the original Most Wanted. I need more games for my Wii U, so I'll probably get this real soon, but how is the online play (there is online play, yeah?)? What modes are there?

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
