No issues here. Mine just has a screen protector, but everything else is working fine and dandy. Still waiting on the official extended life battery though

Yeah good call, we all know some sweet titles coming up in the near future. Also, not having the wireless work would make me use it less as well.
Btw how do you dl systemupdates if there is no internet?

Persistence will sometimes work. If it can connect long enough to queue the download, then the system will eventually finish the download even if it takes a couple of days of the connection flickering on and off. This worked for me with the latest system update - I was able to start the download and then after about 48 hours it was complete. I just use my Wii for gaming and movies in the meantime.

Sometimes I have to physically move the Wii U console to a different floor of our house (where there is no TV with HDMI to connect to) and run any updates or downloads from there. Getting it unplugged and moved out of the TV stand is a hassle though... so I only do this if there is something I really want. (Example: the initial system update required me to take the console into our basement; also when I wanted to download Toki Tori 2+.)

Keeping my fingers crossed that Nintendo can do something to fix the wireless through firmware updates, although not seeing any improvement this time around makes me skeptical. Online play isn't a huge deal for me... but it is annoying, especially when it prevents me from buying games. For example, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and DuckTales Remastered are both games I would already own if my Wii U could handle the download without being relocated.

Totally functional, albeit a bit dirty. But then again, I really have not used it much...

Great, considering hom much it sits there collecting dust.

If you're not playing it, why haven't you sold it? It's always funny how often people pull the collecting dust card when they know full well they can literally walk to the nearest retailer and rectify that issue.

Because seeing people get upset when I basically say something as simple as "I haven't been playing my console very much" is hilarious? Also, it's good for playing Wii games, which don't require the Tablet. Also, what Guitardude7 said, why would I sell it when there's a bunch of good games coming soon? Plus what I said earlier, it's collecting dust simply because I just haven't been able to really get into any of my games.

That said, this thing is a freakin' dust magnet...something about this plastic...

Mine is holding up good (I take very good of my electronics), though I recently haven't been using it due to using the pro controller instead. I probably won't be using it much anymore (not unless it's required) since I love the pro controller so much. Plus I don't want any wear and tear on it, so cutting back on using should help that with the sticks not getting worn out. Only thing protecting it is a screen protector. Oh, and the battery life is still terrible as ever , which is another reason I like the pro controller much better.

I've had it since around March. The battery life seems to have gotten shorter. Everything else with it is fine.

This is by far, the worst advice I've ever heard. Why sell a system you just bought? That makes no sense, especially when the systems hard hitters are coming soon. I never sell my consoles until they're outdated and the next generation begins. Stick through the tough times because games will be rewarded.

Imagine if one sold their 3DS when it was doing bad? They'd certainly be kicking themselves in the butt now considering the system is on FIRE with its recent releases. Stand by your system because the best has yet to come. You'll regret abandoning it.

What I find funniest about comments like that is the mere fact that somebody took time out of their life to post such a blatantly negative burn that only by a sarcastic stretch of the mind answers the thread's question.

Anyway, my gamepad is holding up pretty well. The charge is still lasting for about 4 solid hours of gameplay - a feat that some smart phones don't even live up to after about a year of hard use.

The controller is a dust magnet! I left it sitting for a week and the controller looked like I had left it for a month.

I left it around for a day or two, and it looks like it was there for a week. Seriously, usually I have trouble seeing dust, and I have a white gamepad, yet I can see the dust all over it...kinda driving me nuts...

Almost a year of continuous use and yet I can trick someone into believing its almost brand new, glossy front gives it away with my fingerprint smudge but a clean cloth can solve that.

Mine is pretty fine, with heavy use and low manteinance it looks really good.

Very well since the machine has been off 90% of the days I've owned it. The games that I do play are not entertaining enough to keep me from games on other systems(pc especially), so most of the time we have used it to watch videos through amazon or youtube and barely play at all on it.

Why haven't I sold it? For one, I will wait on the 1st party titles and buy 1-2 games a year. Til then I have other games to play on steam and PC. 2nd, My nephews are 3 and 5 and I showed them a few of the games and they love them. So, I will keep it around for them and hope something cool might show up one day that i can play too. For now its the same as wii was, a kid machine for young kids and families to play together on.

PS4 next month!!! I cannot wait to finally have a console I will actually get use of!

Have the Zelda game pad and so far so good - was not expecting great quality after reading all of the reviews but for a few weeks of heavy use I like it. I go naked on all devices - so no screen saver or case for the gamepad. I actually have 2 zelda game pad's - just not sure what the 2nd one will be used for.

I'm OCD about keeping it clean, so I wipe it constantly with a microfiber cloth, lol. So it basically always looks new. I don't use a screen protector or cover though because I don't like the way they feel.

Everything's good except the face buttons. They feel a bit sticky/mushy when I push them. They don't ACTUALLY stick, but the buttons on my pro controller fit a bit "clicky-er" overall, which I like better.
