I don't see the remakes on the 3DS as jeopardized in any way by the presence of the emulated originals on the Wii U, games that are in fact already available via the Wii U (In many cases, all Nintendo would "gain" by keeping them off is the loss of a $2 upgrade fee since I'm sure many interested Wii U owners already have bought the Wii downloads or already owned them).

For a past example that shows that likely is a non-issue, look at Kirby Super Star. That was a lot less of a remake in its DS form than Ocarina of Time 3D was, yet it still rolled out on the Wii Virtual Console in original SuperNes form not long afterwards.

All I want are the two N64 games running via emulation, rendered in HD, and with controller rumble intact. And maintaining save states and remappable controls as seen in the three emulators currently present on the Wii U Virtual Console is also a must.

And obviously, no significant emulator bugs that will damage the experience.

@GoneFishin Thats something i tought about. Will there be restore points? Or, will a different controller be required?

Hopefully there will be since with these two games, it would come in pretty handy as you're in the midst of a dungeon to just save your progress exactly where you are. Especially with Majora's Mask since the only way to save your current dungeon progress is to work your way to the exit and find an owl statue outside.

@GoneFishin Yeah, I see wat you mean. I just want N64 support badly

As long as we can transfer our download purchases from the Wii to the WiiU, I think your idea is merely unnecessary.

This over everything. It's just silly that we can't share purchases across our platforms with our NNIDs. At least the purchases that can be played on all consoles (Wii, Wii U and 3DS).

Meh, I'm fine with the 3DS versions of OoT and the likely forthcoming MM. Don't need to be on the Wii U.

Or both, since there's exactly zero negative consequences for Nintendo outsourcing a remake to someone who will do a good job (see: Capcom, Grezzo).

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

They just released a remake of Ocarina of Time on the 3DS. They also have been talking about remaking Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past for it too. I would rather have Nintendo make a new Zelda game for the Wii U thank you very much.

I agree with Lank.
Wait, WHY ARE YOU TALKING?!

Emulating N64 games is really hard and tricky, especially on consoles after the N64. The Wii VC versions aren't 100% perfectly emulated.

When a Nintendo 64 is playing N64 software, it isn't emulating a thing. The Nintendo 64 natively executes the code contained on N64 cartridges.

I'd rather have beautiful remakes of classics than identikit sequels but Zelda is getting a beautiful new game and a fun looking crossover game

Majora's Mask is already there to play on Wii U. I'm halfway through a play but postponed it til they release it on Wii U VC. I might just forget that idea and finish it!

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
