Topic: Mysterious new Pokemon game?

An image has just recently shown up of what appears to be a new Pokemon game for the Wii U. What do you think this could be?

Seems to be a teaser since we already got so much from the Pokemon Game show. (new anime and card collection).

Guessing tits going to be fully announced next month during Nintendo's September event.

It's probably just a Pokemon Stadium type game for X & Y. It doesn't surprise me, honestly, because X & Y are going to be big games, and Wii U to 3DS connectivity is a no brainer.

I'll go with a companion plaza, similar to the one released for Animal Crossing New Leaf.

Really? That first image looks like a battle.

I think it's going to tie into Origins because of the GB in that second screenshot. Maybe a game based on it? A game based on the anime based on the game? Whoa.

Nah it would actually have a Plaza. This came from a sizzle reel and this is shown right after the X & Y portion. I'm guessing the Sizzle reel its self is running on Wii U and this is a teaser for the next Stadium/Collusiem/Battle Revolution game.

It is a battle. I'm surprised anyone thought differently, honestly.

It's definitely a Pokemon Stadium type game.

EDIT: Although, there could be a box/Pokemon Ranch type area which is being shown. This will probably be the best console to portable Pokemon game ever made.
The real goal is to beat Stadium 1 and 2.

The battle looks like it's taking place in the middle of a town the only game that ever had a battle in the middle of any town was colluseum so maybe a sequel?

I'm not sure that they would include a story mode. Maybe you use your Pokemon to do challenges that are story based, but you don't actually explore anywhere.

How many teams does Genius Sonority have? They really haven't done anything since the last pokemon game and I assume it doesn't take alot for the Denpamen game to be made. After seeing them cut their teeth better on Denpamen and just the studios talent in general I hope this a RPG style game,

Plus Nintendo's current release strategy as of late are to have the Wii U games for now be semi follow up to the 3Ds titles.

they make this but they dont make a remake for ruby and sapphire OMG i will rant so hard....i been waiting since fire red and leafy green(man i was enraged when heart gold and soul silver was announced) why no ruby and sapphire.....steammmmmm

Ruby and Sapphire remakes are unnecessary. FR/LG and HG/SS were necessary because you couldn't transfer over your pokemon from those to newer games.

They remade Fire Red and Leaf Green, then Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Chronologically, Ruby and Saphire will be the next games to be remade if they do.
They go from oldest to newest, not oldest to second newest(at the time), and back to second oldest.

Remakes of 1st and 2nd gen were the only remakes required to get all the Pokemon games connected again.

I wonder when Nintendo will officially announce this. Hopefully within the weekend.

Well Iwata did mention a while back around E3 that they have a few games that they are working on for 2014 that they have not announced yet. This could be one of those possible unannounced games for the Wii U. What does everyone think?

Could just be an arena for A Pokemon Stadium type game... might as well use that WiiU power to make interesting backgrounds! Though I would love a Colosseum/XD style game.

Yeah, and Miyamoto stated that by the time Mario Kart 8 releases, there will be a strong list of 1st party titles releasing monthly on Wii U.

Something like Pokemon: Battle Revolution and the stadium games.
