I am the only single human being at my school that plays Nintendo. everyone else are huge PlayStation and XBOX fanboys. I get harassed every day because I own a Wii U, i play mario instead of game like god of war or all of that. people get all sarcastic and make fun of me. This is an awful day at school.

honestly kids would find another reason to harass you if it wasn't that. i promise you your not the only nintendo fan there. my experience with grade school and adult life wants to tell you that the majority of the harrasment you will run into from ignorant people will be during adolescence. sorry you had a bad day but trust me.....it will be over before you know it.

Are you serious? I find hard to believe........ gamers are mean in the internet but IRL gamers always seem happy to meet other gamers, even if they are not into the same type of games...or maybe that's just among adult gamers

Hey , I used to be the same way. I remember back in 8th grade and everyone was crazy about GTA Vice City for PS2 and I was one of the few who had a GameCube. Luckily I had a couple Nintendo buddies to talk about Metroid Prime and such with. Screws those people anyways, they don't know what they're missing.

I doubt you are the only human being at your school who plays on Nintendo consoles, but in the case that you are, move away from those people and ignore them, and if they keep pestering you, inform this to a teacher. Those who bully you don't matter, and those who matter don't bully you.

well when I was in school they started bullying me for being fat, then for being hyperactive, the n for being dumb that's when I snaped and decided to become smart then I was bullied for being a nerd.
moral of the story, I tried to become a better person to prove them wrong, they didn't care and didn't stop harassing me but now I'm in a great college and having a (mostly) happy life, though it took up to the second year of college for the harassing to stop completely in my life...
and I'm not even sure if it will start again as the people who bothered me are still around... >.>

Unfortunately there are idiots not only in school but everywhere in life.. Personally I would rather play a demo of any mario game than a full version of some FPS shoot-em-up garbage, but that's just my opinion, and I wouldn't force it on anyone else, as everyone has their own tastes... Sadly most kids in school may lack the maturity to respect other peoples opinions... Oh well, keep your chin up, we'll keep enjoying mario and they can keep playing that garble...

If a teacher, principle, or others do nothing about it even after you inform them of this, then keep informing them of this until something is done about it, surely someone in the house will eventually come to the door when you keep knocking, like in your prayers.

Good god, kids just get meaner and stupider by the year, don't they? They'll find anything to use as ammo for harassment. They're picking on you for you choice in game system? Wow.

I never had this issue when I was younger. That may or may not be because I'm a girl, I don't know. Everyone just kind of minded their own business where I went to school. But the best advice I could give would be to just ignore them. Just remember where it's coming from. They had to really scrape the bottom of the barrel to tease you based on your game system of choice. You're having a good time playing what you play, and that's good enough.

I find myself just staying out of gaming conversations with people who dont get nintendo. But u just got to have a good reason and u can convince anyone. My reason for wii u is that i dont like fps and i like variety and thats what I tell people. The easiest thing to do is ignore them or laugh it off. My one friend jokes with me about liking nintendo and i joke with him for being obsessed with the last of us.

Man, I wish people could just decide to be smart. That'd be awesome.

I like nintendo becuase their games don't repeat the same thing over and over. There is always something new to find in games. My anti-friend says mario is repetitive but this is cod:

Hey guys, here is how to make call of duty blacks ops 2. Let's change the graphics, add more guns and battlefields. Bam there is your next call of duty

I know it's hard to just change your attitude, but you might wanna ignore them or even show them some expressive dominance or superiority.

Bullies pick their victims by watching their reactions, and then stick to the most sensitive ones - or to the one person who doesn't agree to their shallow ideas. So the best way to get out of such a situations is to openly not give a damn. Smile at their insults, ignore their provocations, report any resorts to violence or general physical harm to the teachers.

Now, I don't know what kind of person you are and how much you can take, but being aware of how unimportant and worthless their opinion is really helps ignoring it. But depending on how patient and self-confident you are, this might not work for you.

The only two wrong things you can do is either fighting back by insulting them, or using violence yourself. Just stay calm and composed.

yes, not everyone can be as lucky as I was in my case I "became smart" when I started actually studying instead of drawing.
though with hard work, determination and willpower to break the impossible all can happen(and I'm not joking I AM one of those idiots who don't believe in limits)

Gosh. I grew up in a neighbourhood where everyone plays a Nintendo. We used to gather around and connect our gameboys just to battle our Pokemon or see who can get the highest score in super mario. Which also explains my love for Nintendo.

Honestly kid, you should just be who you are. People who harasses you just because you own a certain piece of plastic is not going to be a good friend anyways.

As the great one once said "They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that's why they hated me.." Chin up kiddo.

I know it sounds like the silliest advice you could hear, and doesn't seem to ever help when you're in the situation, but ignoring them is always the best bet. Bullies in almost all cases will lose interest in bullying if they don't get a response. Try and pretend it doesn't affect you, even if it does (@Kaze_Memaryu put it pretty well in his comment). It might also seem like everyone joins in, but in the end people just agree with what others believe in to avoid such bullying or lack of confirmation. I doubt everyone in your school has the same opinions on gaming, and if you bring it up with specific people alone you might find they're not that different to yourself. If it ever gets too much; talk to a teacher or your parents about it, and know that things do eventually get better.
