I was wondering whether people would be interested in forming a small group to play MH3U online from time to time. It's one of those games where there's plenty of people, but individuals often don't want to hunt the same monster, so finding people who behave appropriately and don't outright refuse to hunt anything they don't need can be challenging.
I think it would be good to get a little community going, we could use one of the emptier worlds and/or lobbies in order to keep the rabble out and have a bloody merry time, catering to people of all ranks and skill levels. What does everyone think?
Organised hunts will not necessarily be held in a particular world or lobby, so instead you'll need to perform a search with following criteria:
World: Any
Target: Small Monsters
Comment: Freestyle Hunting!
Password: Yes
These are uncommon search terms, and as such will bring up the organised room in the search, and should have a name along the lines of 'N Life 1' or similar. You'll know you're in the right territory when you see things like that.
The password to get into the room will always be 'NLYF', unless we have to change it for whatever reason.

I'll totally be in once I get Monster Hunter! I'll come back to this thread when I do. You should definitely keep this thread updated with meetup dates and times (timezones as well). We could have a good thing going on here.

I'll join once I get a digital version of the game "my disc-drive doesn't like Wii U discs anymore".
Great to see so much interest! In answer to some of your questions, yes this thread will be used as a sort of base camp for organising hunts and other delights. Feel free to use it to get in touch with others for casual hunts as well, but more structured, organised hunts with specific monsters that need taking down by request of the individuals involved will be kept as well. I'll lay down a few ground rules such as you can only choose a mission that you have access to amongst other exciting velvet ropes.
I'll join in too, if that's ok. it's been a long time since I played online with others and I only started to get back into the game in general last week. This would be a good way to get me back in the groove.
A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.

Highly interested, but with limited availability due to family responsibilities.
I'm just starting out with MH3U online play (although am a Tri and MHFU vet - so lack equipment but have at least basic skills).
Is it ok for me to watch the thread and join in on odd occasions? Will start working my way up HR as quickly as possible over the next couple of weeks.
Not a problem, there's no obligation to turn up to a minimum number of hunts, just sign up for whatever ones you want.
I've put everyone's NNID in the main post (but only those who have it in their signatures). Make sure to add at least one person in the hunt you wish to take part in in order to make life easier and keep the ol' friendship train running.
