Hmmm...Looks like it's the TV problem. Try factory reset option and see if it works.

BTW, what resolution is your TV? and can it do 16:9 aspect ratio?

My TV also cuts off the health bar, although I think in my case its because it is an older CRT TV.

However, I don't think this will be too much of an issue in the final game, as the entire HUD can be moved to the GamePad screen. Skip to around the 8 minute mark in this video IGN posted not too long ago:

Yes it is the 16:9 ratio, I just got HD wii component cables they didn't help but at least i am in hd now (1080i) lol also @ecto-1 awesome!

Are you using the HDMI cable that is provided with the console? and what is the display setting of your Wii U in the system settings?

i am not using hdm, my tv does not have an hdmi port but it does have a dvi port and i do have a dvi to hdmi cable but it does not carry sound so i dont use it also for the display setting if you mean aspect ratio then i have it on 16:9
