For you guys who tried the demo, how does it look (either 3ds and Wii U
and how are the contros on the 3DS version. The wii U i guess is probably the same as the wii.
3ds demo:
looks like the wiigame: aweseome!
controls are very good for such a complex game on a handheld. no need for second slide pad. first i didnt knew how to lock on enemies but after i knew how to do it i didnt have any real problems with the camera.
not sure if i will get this, because i already had the wii version.
in short: it's a fullblown monster hunter game for the 3DS in nice 3D !

Wii U version here.
Looks good. Not OMFGWTFBBQ greatest visuals ever of course, but MUCH better than the Wii version. So much less jaggyness, thanks to plenty of AA going on.
Controls with the gamepad are pretty good. I enjoy it more than I did with the Wiimote+Nunchuck.
The demo itself is okay. I was expecting more, not sure what exactly, just something different. Not bad mind you, I was just expecting something more/different.
Played the demo on 3ds found it to be not for me, never played a monster hunter game and I'm not gonna start after that O_O

@Jellitoe The 3DS version looks better than the Wii version, but (as is typical on the 3DS) it's not nearly as colorful or vibrant. Controls are great except underwater.
Edit: Ran into some framerate drops fighting Plesioth.
Hmmm. I might stick with only the Wii U version then. I have been weary about how the touch pad analog stick would be.. I do not want to use a circle controller pro on my 3ds since I have a expanded battery and that thing would make the 3ds too big for my pockets. If the touch screen analog stick worked well I would get it on it both. Can't wait to get home and try them both.

I'm glad to see some of the old crew is still around!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Tech! Are you going for the Wii U or 3DS version? :3
Anyone know if the game music, sound comes out of the Gamepad? I hreally hate it when games dont allow for this since I like playing while my wife is in drooling up her pillow?

If you're not playing with the CCP then you're gonna have a bad time.

You know

And can you go a little faster?!
I couldn't even beat it with my favourite weapon - the lance.
I did find it tricky getting used to the controller Pro. It was the first time I've actually used it. I though tI was going to have an easy time when it got out of the water, but it kept tail-whipping me and I couldn't block it effectively without losing stamina or being pushed back.
