@Retro and @Canis
I honestly don't know... It's coming out tomorrow in Europe, and from what I can find, the Demo's dated for the 21st.

Browsing different forums, people on the Gamefaqs forums say it'll be up at noon EST. just under 2 hours then I suppose, assuming they are right. Also read that the demo has online coop as well.

I''ve been a little weary, since a lot of forums for MH3G/Ultimate have popped up, and I do think the forums need consolidation, but I think this forum is the main for this game. I'm a (foreign born) Japanese resident/citizen, and I have had Monster Hunter 3G for nearly a year. If anyone has any questions about this game, please ask me. I'm ready to answer any questions anyone has.

I thought you didn't have a Wii U?

Anyways how does the 3d look? Also are the graphics on par with the Wii version?

I don't have a WiiU, but I've had the 3DS Monster Hunter 3G for a year now. Sorry, I thought this forum was a general forum for both versions.

Anyway, I've seen videos in stores for the WiiU version, and although I think the 3DS version is one of the most crisp, beautiful looking games on the 3DS system currently, the WiiU version looks clearer and more detailed. They both have the same content, but I know WiiU owners will be happy. They just have to know they they are getting a game that is an HD version of a 3DS game, but that it was a game that looked far better than anything else on the 3DS.

I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

And yes, I think the graphics are better than the Wii version. Even on the 3DS, there is a noticeable difference. A few monsters have more detail, and nearly all of the areas show a noticeable difference in their texture detail.

Hmm, I do, I'm not saying that's the problem, I just have wireless in my apartment (I don't have one of those amazing, well paying jobs here in Japan, just one that gives me a visa while I study more Japanese so I can get a real job in 1-2 years, haha, so I don't have a lot of those little extras). I was planning on going to a net cafe sometimes next week, so if I remember to write your info down, I'll add you as a friend.

Is the content in 3G/Ultimate much more than in the Wii version? More areas, weapons, armours, monsters, etc. Are there any significant gameplay changes?

どうも ありがとう ございます : ) I'm just learning, so hopefully that says thank you very much. Still trying to get Hiragana memorized.

Yes, there's a lot more content. I know some sites, and even some articles are calling this game a revamped version of the Wii game, its an HD version of MH3G, which is a much bigger game than the original Wii Monster Hunter.

And good job, if you want to learn Japanese, keep studying. Hiragana is just the first step. When I first started learning it like 10 years ago, that was the first thing I learned in my classes. There's so much more, since its such a huge language.

If you guys have more specific questions about this game, please ask. Other than the HD, this game is identical to the 3DS version, which is huge and has months and months worth of content, even for those that have already played the Wii version.

Geeze, that sounds amazing. I mean, I put a few hundred hours into the Wii version, so I can only imagine how much time I can (and probably will) end up putting into this.

Demo will (hopefully) drop in about 1 hour and 15 minutes when the e-shop updates around noon.

Yeah, I mean, I put so many hours into the Wii version, and then never touched it again once I for MH3G. The 3DS game was just so much fuller and more detailed, and the new monsters really are very fun.

I see the demo had Hapurubokka, which in the western versions they call...Nibelsnarf. That has to be one of the worst names I've seen in a western localization. Some westerners didn't like him, but I thought he was really fun.

I think its normal length for a demo. Its the same as far as I can tell. I haven't played the non-Japanese demo though, so I can't be too sure.

I never really played the Japanese one, since I bought MH3G as a day 1 purchase, so I never needed it, so I may not be the best source for info on that.

The western demo has 3 missions though, so its seems long.

i tried the short dual blades in the 3DS demo.
is there any other attack rather than hitting x all the time? it looks like the charakter is "loading up" the dualblades when pressing R. does that make you more powerful for a short time or what?

Is 3G/Ultimate easier or harder than Tri, and would you say it's longer? I've heard it has 70 something monster, but I doubt all of those count as a new monster.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.

You might have to read the instruction on the other attacks. Some weapons have different styles of attacks and if I remember correctly the long sword has a special charge. That one I don't think will be available in the demo as it unlocks later in game.
