Topic: Miyamoto Working on Undisclosed Original Title

Remember when word swirled about Miyamoto wanting to make a new, original game? Well, that has surfaced again when Miyamoto was interviewed by Zoomin Games. Besides Pikmin 3 and Luigi's Mansion 2, he is working on an "undisclosed original title."

"People have come to expect a lot from me. This certainly makes me feel some pressure. But if you ask me, 'Is it too much pressure to come out with something new?' I have to say no, I'm enjoying myself. But when I make something, I always try to do my best."

This could be a new Wii U game or a dowloaded game for the Wii or 3DS, but the real question is what kind of idea does he have in mind? Certainly not comical, fighting in-laws.

what's important is pikmin 3.

Miyamoto could be making a new game genre and we just don't know it yet

I should certainly hope so. We could use a few new ideas from that man.

i agree with WaveBoy and GameLord08. i hope it is a totally new franchise, and though we love our mario, link, samus, kirby etc, it would be great if we had something new and different.

Actually make it an original RPG, or like someone said before, a grittier mascot!

Hmmmm, I hope whatever this is ends up being a Wii U Launch Title. Then again, that's wishful thinking.

I'm sure we'll soon see a follow-up post like for the retirement rumor where he denies the whole thing and insists he never said he would ever make an original game again.

Lets just hope it's for 3DS because they need one of those.

Yes they are all "casual" products, but they still count.

I hope it's a game that stars Shigeru Miyamoto, Satoru Iwata, and Reggie Fils-Aime. =D and me too, they should put me in there since I'm best friends with Shigeru (we're on a first name basis, but don't tell Reggie that I'm best friends with Shigeru because he gets jealous).

A game starring Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto, and Reggie would be weird.

Weirdly original and highly entertaining. Yep. ^O^

I think he is already crossing his own "I've already seen everything" stage, so I would expect something new, weird, short and mostly useless.

It's when you start thinking about that, that a new experience comes out of nowhere and blows you away.

Don't count him out just yet
