Topic: Misleading Skylanders ad

Anyone else still watch The Simpsons on Channel 4 at 6pm? I did the other day, and the show is currently 'sponsored' by the new Skylander's game.

While the ad doesn't mention any specific format (nor does it show any console logos) it does however show clips of Bowser and Donkey Kong!

Not sure about you guys, but as the ad isn't specifically for the Wii U version I think this is a bit cheeky and misleading. I hope kids don't get the PS4/X1 version expecting to be able to play as them. Silly Activision

So it didn't even show a Wii U symbol?

Donkey Kong and Bowser are compatible with the 3DS version as well. Are you certain that it wasn't an ad for the 3DS/Wii/Wii U versions?

You were probably thinking we did cause there is one for Disney Infinite.

Just ordered this- should get by Wednesday. Surprised there's not more discussion. It looks like it is generally getting positive reviews. I might eventually also order the 3ds version so I can also get Bowser.

@Mogster: Are you sure it wasn't this ad? This one has some small white print on the bottom about Nintneod characters only working on Ntinedo platforms, and then at the end it shows Wii, 3DS and Wii U at the bottom. It's also the only TV commercial I can find on Youtube.

If anything I would get on Activision b/c the Wii and 3DS versions are racing only, which it says on the box but they certainly don't emphasize that in the tv advert.

And they suck b/c I have to buy 2 versions if I want to get Bowser and DK amiibo, I mean Skylanders. We are probably getting dark Wii U and normal Wii versions so we don't get DK in his clown Elvis attire.

Also, I'm pretty sure the characters won't drive in real life in life sized vehicles with you on the beach, so you may want to get on Activision about that as well.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men buy Skylanders.
