I've heard some rumors that MineCraft that may be considered for the Wii U. I mean, the only reason the Xbox is the only with MineCraft is because Notchy believes it's the only one strong enough to handle it and since the Wii U is more powerful than the Xbox it can obviously handle it. Now what are your opinions on MineCraft for Wii U and should they make it?
Minecraft isn't that great, and it being limited to a console removes the ability to mod it.
Also, I'd much rather have the creativity that comes with minecraft to be portable with me, either on my phone or laptop, rather than being chained down.
Also Tekkit > Minecraft Vanilla.

And can you go a little faster?!
I'll second what aviator said. In fact, I can't play Minecraft Vanilla anymore after technic. It's so dull (though I'm waiting for the updates that allow colossal biomes).
Furthermore, I've seen footage of Minecraft 360, and it doesn't really appeal to me. Those ugly avatars, dressed in hipster fedoras or Master Chief helmets, splitscreen multiplayer and a restrictively small map just seems pointless to me.
There's no reason why a WiiU adaptation would be any different, and this is ignoring the fact that Minecraft is a killer app for the 360.

um for your information minecraft is exclusive to the xbox.. it has nothing to do with the power of the console..,, the ps3 could possibly run it too, however its the exclusive contract with microsoft that prevents it
Part of that is true but power still plays an important roll. -Teus
If the power you are talking about is the financial power of Microsoft, then you are correct.
You've got to keep in mind that the XBLA version of Minecraft was mostly made by Microsoft, right? The chances of us seeing it on WiiU is incredibly slim unless if it is different from the XBLA version.
Oh, and just an FYI, the contract of Microsoft would keep Minecraft from showing up on WiiU, regardless of how powerful it is. Notch's original reasoning won't matter.

This guy speaketh the truth.
Minecraft is exclusively on the Xbox because of a contractual agreement between Microsoft and Mojang. It has nothing, whatsoever, to do with hardware.
That said, I was under the impression that Microsoft XBLA exclusive contracts are a 6-12 month deal - like Limbo. I'm not sure whether Minecraft would also apply though.

I don't think this is one of those cases. Microsoft had a very heavy hand in getting Minecraft to the 360; they didn't just throw some money at it, they helped make it. I doubt they'd let their efforst leave them within such a span of time.
The inventory would be great However, I've played Minecraft to death and Tekkit won't work for my computer so I haven't played in months.

I believe I can hear a black dragon approaching...
Currently playing: Rhythm Heaven, Minecraft (XBLA), Pokemon B/W 2, Halo 4, The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave, Fallblox, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GCN)
Will be playing soon: Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Cave Story +, Wii U: NSMBU, Nintendo Land, (And lots more!)
If it wasn't for Minecraft being available on the Xbox, I would have never played it. It's now been purchased three times in my house; once for each Xbox. The ONLY way that I would consider purchasing it for the WiiU would be if the worlds you created were persistant (saved on the server, Nintendo Network, etc.)
Slight side-note: I can't wait for the next update on the Xbox. I'm definately looking forward to some of the additions.
Why doesn't Nintendo see if they can ask Microsoft for some...assistance on a 3DS port? There was a homebrew for MineCraft DS. Why not put the homebrew into the market and make profit???
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

Alternatively, someone could just make a Minecraft-Clone and sell it on the WiiU shop or 3DS shop.
