I'm not surprised. I would still find it weird if the Xbox 360 games were on there, because the N64 and arcade games seem more fitting for Nintendo consoles, but it's whatever. The collection on Wii U would beat out a lot of the other stuff on the eShop, IMO.

It's completely possible, if rare proposed the idea and Microsoft let them do it (aka if they see profit in it) then nothing is stopping them from doing it.
It's not like there's some sort of rule that says that Microsoft can't publish games outside of their own consoles.
"The two forces will merge, then a great empire will rule over Sony and PC with excellent IP's"...or some fancy fairy tale story like that, either way if they did mix, would benefit them both wouldn't it? well surely having those IP's like Banjo & Kazooie on Nintendo once again would make many happy, putting them in games like smash would also make a good impact with fans.
Now Ryse and Dead Rising 3 need to show up. Dead Rising U Collection, and you can tell the survivors where to go on the touch screen and set marks on the map. That is why Wii U matters. I'm leaving the thread, now, probably.

I think it's clear what's going on. Microsoft is essentially calling for Wii U owners and Nintendo fans to answer some sort of roll call to see if a port would be worth their time and money. (Or if you're more cynical, they're earning points with Nintendo gamers on a request they know won't gain the popularity it needs to be fulfilled.) I really think Rare Replay would make a killing, but it wouldn't be as simple as recoding it to work on the Wii U. Remember that only 16 of the 30 games in Rare Replay are actually on the game disc. The rest are downloaded directly from the Xbox Live Marketplace. They would have to put in the extra work to port some of these games or add them to the disc.
But regardless, I'd be cool with this. If I didn't already have Rare Replay on XOne, I'd get it for Wii U, but I don't think the response will be big enough to justify it.
Jesus, guys—it's a tweet! He's obviously just egging them on to drum up interest in the game and, in the process, the Xbox One. PR-types spew this kind of noncommittal nonsense all the time, don't fall for the trap!
I'm guessing Rare Replay wasn't the spectacular success they expected- in sales and bringing more variety of audience to the XB1. The game has lost 2/3rd's of it's value in 6 months, and the XB1 is even further away from the PS4 than before.
Although I doubt Rare Replay could come to Wii U, I do wonder if XB1 gets trounced this cycle we may see a few of Microsoft's less Xbox niche games becoming multiplatforms? They've done it with Minecraft and Minecraft Story, so would MS just be happy to be making money off something that really doesn't appeal to Halo and Gears of War fans?
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?
SpookyMeths: Isn't Mojang 100% owned by Microsoft too though?
Yes, but Minecraft was already available on almost every platform by the time Microsoft bought the studio. There's no doubt in my mind that Minecraft would be exclusive to Xbox and Windows if they bought Mojang in 2010.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
If anything,I could see Nintendo not going for it even if Microsoft was willing to.Nintendo have VC games to sell and if this was on the Eshop they'd really struggle to justify their current prices.
