Just wanted to see how others were doing in saving the universe from the Reapers, with thoughts on the game with opinions, suggestions or just interesting stories.

This started out as the game I was never going to buy, but has quickly bacame my favorite launch title, and I have sunk a little over 20 hours into it. I had started out playing ME 1 when it first came out on the Xbox 360 and fell in love. I beat it 3 times... Then number 2 came out with rave reviews but I became appaled when I had read the RPG elements were scaled back so I stayed away from it..

Fast forward to now after I sold both my Xbox 360 and PS3 and I am looking at games to buy with my new Wii U and this game just stood out. I proceded to buy it and have enjoyed it very much. I only regret that I never played ME2 now, and hope this game gets enough support that we recieve ME 1 and 2 so we can experience the game as it should be.

If and when I get a Wii u I definitely want this. Never played a Mass Effect before but want to. I don't care about the other version since I don't plan on owning those systems.

I won't get it for the simple reason the PS3 and 360 got the trilogy version with all 3 games for the same price as the Wii U's 1 game.

You're only depriving yourself.

Finished this when it was released for 360 earlier in the year and have completed the first 2 again in the past couple of months waiting for the wii u release for my hardcore run, really loving it on the wii u, being able to place your team members on the touch screen is great as is assigning powers for easy access!! Oh also loving the way the gunshots/footsteps/elevator sounds come from the gamepad

I really like playing from the gamepad, having the map right in front of me is very helpful. I also like to be able to plug in my headphones in the gamepad to negate all the background noise so I do not miss any conversations in game. I haven't tried to play the game from the gamepad yet though....

Well your getting all the DLC that is currently out for the game that you would be buying online for a separate price I believe.

Unfortunately not, the two single player dlc's, leviathan and omega are missing and there are no plans to release them either, they have added the multiplayer dlc and extended cut ending to the wii u version, but thats it.

I didn't like Mass Effect 1. The controls and graphics weren't that great IMO. I think the overworld area was cool with as much side stories and such you can do. The whole RPG thing kinda kept me away too. It made me think of Socom for PS, and I didn't like that game either. The no brainer and not constant pausing games are the ones I like most. I didn't like the 1st one so much, that I never bothered to play the sequels. I feel like the first one was a work in progress, that showed in the sequels, but I couldn't get myself to play the 1st one just to have more reason to play the next games in the series.

I found scanning the planets for minerals in the first game extremely relaxing and often spent a couple of hours at it, was kinda disappointed they removed it (along with many of the other rpg elements) in the sequels.

Anybody playing this game right now? I got it as gift and debating on whether to keep it or exchange it for something else.
