I loved the Marios Sunshine game for gamecube! The fun and interesting Island world and the freedom to roam around made mario sunshine so much fun! Wouldn't it be great to see a second one, or maybe a HD Remake? Or maybe you hated it.. and in that case why was that?

I don't know if there's any need for more Sunshine. It made use of a lot of the water mechanics it had, but I don't know how much more can be done with it. I'd rather Nintendo EAD just make a game they'd like to make. That way, the creativity can come forth.

Well, it would atleast be cool to come to the Eshop if they could ever get Gamecube games on there

Mainly, I'd just settle for a Wii U VC release. I don't think I'd want a sequel unless they were able to put some sort of creative spin on the gameplay to make it feel different.

But now that I think about it, a Mario Galaxy-esque platformer that integrates free roam and the FLUDD from Sunshine would be cool.

Oh yes Mario galaxy with the free roam of sunshine would be a lot cooler than how it was originally set up.

I liked the kitty suit...It a least allows for new types of gmeplay...

Yeah, having actually played the demo...the cat suit was fun.

I don't class this new Super Mario game as a proper 3D mario game, it's just not up there with 64, Galaxy & Sunshine :-/

I loved that game. I wish I could have it for the 3DS to play through again, like they did Mario 64 for the DS. A sequel would be nice, too, but I'm afraid for some reason I wouldn't like it as much. I didn't like Galaxy as much as Sunshine and I'm afraid the mechanics would be similar to Galaxy, for some reason.

I'd way rather have it over 3d World. Sunshine is one of the best games ever, so a sequel would most likely be awesome.

I don't know about a new Sunshine game, but a game where FLUDD returns would be nifty.

The cat suits are a little stupid but the way they are used is cool. Maybe it doesnt have to be called super mario sunshine 2, but a game located in a new area in the mario world with an interesting story and tons of warp holes to go through kind of like mario 64 and sunshine. I would like free roam in it though, it's better than the way galaxy is set up.
