Topic: Mario Kart Wii U ideas

Sorry if there's a thread like this already. There's so many things that can be done to this game thanks to the Wii U We won't see this game for awhile but we do know it will eventually come. So, put your ideas here on what you would want to see.

Granted you would have to have 4 gamepads, but it would be really sweet if they added an 8 player local multiplayer. 4 people could play on their own gamepads, while another 4 play on the TV screen. What a party!!! Actually you wouldn't need 4, each person that has a Wii U, say you are going to have a get together or something and 3 others could bring a game pad. This is very plausible.

Except the Wii U can only support two gamepads, and even with two Nintendo themselves have said it causes system instability.

I was playing the Sonic racing game on Wii U today. It was actually pretty good, but I know Mario Kart will knock it out of the ring.
I don't know what they plan to do with Mario Kart U, but I know it's going to be great. I simply cannot wait.

Don't expect another Mario Kart sequel until 2015. There's a new Mario Kart about every 3 years.

Two characters to a kart, bob omb battles and special abilities. I basically want Nintendo to take a step back for the good of the franchise.

Yeah, DD was the best thing to happen to the series. It had the best multiplayer, easily. And it had Petey.

The person with the GamePad can be Lakitu and get people who fall down a hole and place obstacles on the track.

i just think they should have about 16 players now to race and more items and characters to choose from come on D= i hated that they took out some of items from MK 7

Oh and if the add any concept at all, please make it the inclusion of an item to deflect blue shells, or get rid of them entirely, otherwise I probably won't buy the game...

That's a great idea but I can see that going very badly very quickly.

I think that Funky Kong should return. Also, I want to see Wario Colliseum from DD. Oh, and Nintendo definitely needs to make Bomb-omb Blast return. It was the best battle mode ever! Maybe make Mission Mode return. I also would love to see a track where you race through Bowser because he swallowed you. The idea would be that he swallows you at the beginning, and then you race through his body. It could be like Bowser's Inside Story except in karting form! Also, it would only have one lap. And finally, I think that they should have up to six players locally.

I really don't see a Mario Kart U any time soon, though I could be wrong.

I do not see any other ways to improve/ add Ideas to A new Mario Kart game. They have already added a whole variety of characters, courses from different Mario Kart games and Have added Miis (Your Avatar) I do not know if there is anything more they can add.

Please, feel free to correct me in any way as I do hope their is a Mario Kart U, I just don't think their will be.

I want to see five player multi with the fifth using the gamepad. That's a given. I also want to see proper leaderboards for timetrails like in Mario Kart Wii but much, much quicker to load. If they could I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of website which you can access outside of the Wii U that shows the best times. That would be very cool.

Also MiiVerse integration. I want to be able post and see messages from people about various parts of the game. When you get a 1st in a cup maybe have the crowd behind the stand show what people said when they got 1st in that cup. That sort of thing.

Another way to look at it is that they tend to release Mario Kart games very early in the console's life.

Super Mario Kart: 1992, the year after the 1991 NA release of the SNES
Mario Kart 64: 1997, the year after the 1996 NA release of the N64
Super Circuit: 2001, the same year as the NA release of the GBA
Double Dash: 2003, two years after the NA release of the GC
MKDS: 2005, the year after the NA release of the DS
MKWii: 2008, two years after the NA release of the Wii
Mario Kart 7: 2011, the same year as the NA release of the 3DS

It's a system seller that tends to always appear very early in the console's life. If we want to make a prediction on when it'll launch we can pretty much pencil in an announcement at E3 this year. We should probably expect a launch either before the end of the year or early next year. They'll want to get it in before Christmas 2013 is my guess.
