Plus the fact that each DLC course is priced at under a buck, that's just crazy! Sixteen brand new tracks plus all the stuff that comes with the packs, that'll add so much more replay value! Can't wait to see some footage of the new tracks!
This is a surprisingly good deal. I have to admit I was very understanding of the skeptics of Nintendo entering the DLC realm. It's a very scary territory: I've already decided never to buy from certain companies again because of how sketchy their DLC policies are. Take EA for example. I loved the first two Mass Effects...and the third one came around, with $10 Day-one, on-disc DLC...and the game's ending was the disappointment of my gaming life so far. Chrono Cross killing off my favorite characters from the prequel off-screen was a close second...
I would have easily paid $10 a piece for these packs considering they both have 8 new tracks...six dollars a piece is a fricken' steal...I was even getting scared they might try some $15 or $20 a piece. Now all they have to do is make Amiibos cheaper than $10 and Nintendo is my new hero of DLC/Plastic crap-that-looks-cool. Peach and Ike must be mine...unless they're like $20, then screw it...
Wait is tomorrow the last day to preorder the DLC packs? Or is it the whole week?
Beginning tomorrow you can preorder the packs. I assume you can preorder up to the first release. You can also cancel your preorder up until the first release. And it seems you get the bonus yoshi and shy guy colors immediately upon preorder
Anyways did they say the tracks would be based on the Legend of Zelda and Animal crossing? What do you think is going to happen there? We better get a dungeon-based track or two.

Keep it PG-13-ish.

One of the tracks shown in the small collages is pretty clearly from Animal Crossing, all with animals watching race and a big "Animal Crossing" banner.
Another one in the same collage appears to be based on a dark forest with big trees, suspiciously similar to the Faron woods from Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword.

There's a Cup strictly focused on Zelda themed tracks and a Cup strictly focused on Animal Crossing tracks! That AC track looks amazing! Our first glimpse at AC: U!
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

There's a Triforce Cup and a Leaf Cup, but they haven't really said that each cup would have all the tracks taken from their "naming" games though.
At least as far as I know. They could simply be the "crossover cups" and include tracks from different games, like the already confirmed Excitebike and F-Zero tracks.
