Finally, a reason to turn on my Wii U.

Two things:

1)What about SSB4?

2)What do you mean by "a reason to turn on my Wii U"? There is already a few great games while waiting (SM3D World, DKCTF, etc.)

Well considering Nintendo doesn't reuse Retro Tracks (Baby Park was in the DS version), I doubt they'd bring it back.

They're going to have to reuse tracks at some point, but they have enough that they don't need to yet. I don't think that necessarily means that Nintendo won't do it, though.

They don't have to, because each game keeps adding the same amount of tracks that they bring back. But I think they will at some point because there might be some tracks that they don't feel like remaking at all. Also, some of the tracks remade in DS and Wii can still benefit from the mechanics used in 7 and 8.

GAME has begun making preorders for this accessory. It's called Wii U Super Mario Kart Racing Wheel from PowerA starting at £9.99. It will be available the week after MK8 release.

No. Wii Classic Controller FTW!!!

I am not sure what will be best for MK8 but I'll probably have to get a proper Motion Plus Remote to use the wheel. Might go for a MK8 + MK8 WiiMote+ + Wheel Bundle though!

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

I'm going to play it with the WiiU Pro Controller.

I'll definitely get that wheel if they include it with the game though. I have friends who prefer the Wii-wheel.

Looking forward to: ZeldaU & Hyrule Warriors

Can't you just use the Game pad's gyro controls as a steering wheel? I really hope NIntendo does something interesting with the game pad's screen, aside from a rear view mirror or over head map layout to see where you and and the other racers are on the map. They just aren't trying anymore, there's too much untapped potential with the GP and it feels like they're semi bailing on it all together...

@Wavesta Yeah they should use the camera so you can see the other dudes & dudettes reaction after using a bullet bill or blue shell... The old COD tea bag will become more real than you could ever imagine ;)

I didn't mind the wheel but I don't need another one. Plus the Wheel didn't really add much anyways, the game was just as playable with a WiiMote on its side. That said because of off-TV I'll probably be using the analogue input enough that I'll be used to the analogue input more than the motion controls.

Thwomp Ruins is a cool idea. Looks quite nice. They deserve their own course. They're good guys at heart. You just need to get to know them.

Pretty pumped that Tick Tock Clock is coming back. Of course, it is hard to go wrong with anything from MKDS, but that in particular was a good one, and one I'd forgotten.

Come on, friends,
