I just read today's press release from NoA, and it seems like the current 2.0.0 version of MK8 doesn't support Amiibo. Amiibo support will arrive in an future update.
Does anybody else having problems with MK8 online lately?
Since Friday I get disconnects and can't connect after a dc. Weird enough, I can connect again if I restart my console.

Anyone?
Oh yes. That's happened at my friend's house on occasion. If we get disconnected and can't get back on, we use the old "Turn it off and on again" method, and it's yet to fail us so far. You're not the only one.
Looking at the DLC I think it would actually be cool if Nintendo made half of the next Mario Kart game the traditional one and added a bunch of characters from their other franchises, along with extra cups. Either that or have an extensive DLC plan for every MK game from now on. I just got everything in MK7 last week and I would be absolutely fine with dishing out 20 bucks for more cups and characters (and some missions perhaps or something).
I guess the DLC will arrive on November 27th? With SSB U releasing in the US on November 21st, that seems to be the only logical date left now, since the NoA announcement says end of November.

I can't believe the announcement about the Master Cycle is trending (#1!) on Facebook.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

And it just got dethroned because Apple accidentally revealed the new iPads ahead of tomorrow's keynote.

Was there a time limit on getting the different colored Yoshis and Shyguys for preordering the game? Or do I just have to do it before its released?
The coloring is a bonus when buying both packs, regardless of when you do it. But if pre-buy, you can start playing with the character colors right away.

After seeing the Master Cycle play in person, Aonuma was so impressed that he wants to put it in games he's working on
That would be really interesting. I always thought of this strange idea for Zelda where its a bit closer to modern times like with cars and motorcycles and maybe even cities, but it still has sword battles and magic and dungeons and there's still kings and princesses. I'm sure they'd be able to pull it off really well.
