Just got my Wii U notification about Mario and Sonic coming out Nov 8 and the eShop listing has online multiplayer. Seems like that info would have come out before now but google came up empty. I was already planning on getting this for my kid but if all sports can be played online I might be interested as well.

It's about time that Nintendo is deciding to add online multiplayer to more games. Mario Kart 8/Smash Bros. 4 is a given, but I'd like to see it for more games too. Wii Sports Club and now this, is a good start. I hope they don't mess up soon! If they continue to improve online multiplayer, they will have an advantage over PS4/Xbox One because it is free. But until I see that it's getting much better, I'm probably going to stick to PC/PS4 for online games.
