Topic: Luigi's Mansion 2 Wii U reappears, this time on Best Buy.

There have been some instances where retailers have guessed a game and turned out to be right later down the road, like Donkey Kong Country on the 3DS for example. However we don't know if such instances were a pure coincidence or not.

In any case I shall remain completely skeptical until Nintendo gives (or doesn't) the official word on the matter.

I'm skeptical. And more to the point, I really don't think this is a good idea for Nintendo if true, the game's barely been out half a year. Why remake/port it already?

This article basically sums up why it'd be a bad idea:

It could very well happen. We need not forget that Nintendo doesn't have to pay to publish titles on their own console. They just walk across the hall and upload the game to the eShop(maybe a little exaggerated).

If this is true, I could see Nintendo possibly trying to showcase the game as one of the few that will support stereoscopic 3D. Every 3DS game technically is already built in 3D, so I see it being very likely to be an option. Nintendo wanting Luigi's Mansion in 3D goes as far back as when the GCN was first being revealed, too.

I was actually surprised Monster Hunter and possibly RE: Revelations on Wii U weren't in 3D. Moster Hunter had 3D stereoscopic programmers in the credits of the Wii U version.

EDIT: BTW, 3D content is getting easier and easier to implement, because the technology to do has developed quite a bit since 3D HDTVa and the like. Nintendo probably knows how to get basically any game to run in 3D without much effort, since it's built into their game engines(thanks to the 3DS) to begin with.

This is interesting, but I'm skeptical. Wasn't Dark Moon tailor made for the 3DS? Not to mention the game is pretty young, wouldn't Nintendo want to wait awhile before porting it, like with DKCR?

Wii U doesn't support 3D games, period.

Keep in mind that other 3DS games like Kid Icarus have also come up. Why would Nintendo not announce these in advance by now? I have to say this is a load of false info

People, you do know that porting Dark Moon to Wii U wouldn't be easy, right?

Hardware differs. Games are made for specific hardware. You can't just press a magic button to change a 3DS title into a Wii U one. Effort would be needed to redo most models, textures, pretty much all code, etc.

Nintendo aren't gonna do that for a game that's been released only about 7 months ago and is selling perfectly well on the 3DS.

The 3d effect (with glasses) can be made by every console, all depends on the display screen (your tv)....

Can Wii U, Xbox360, PS3, PC make 3d with a 3d screen? Yes
Can Wii U, Xbox360, PS3, PC make 3d with out a 3d screen? No

It could also be a game to kick off 3DS and Wii U game sharing and compatibility. They won't make the Wii U and 3DS cross compatible if there isn't software to support such features.

I'm not saying 3D(for Wii U) or game sharing is what's being implied, but similar software is a way to head that direction.

Um where are you getting your facts? Not only is Wind Waker HD selling well but it's boosting the Wii U sales along with it

For one thing Wind Waker was on a system over a decade old, a far cry from 7 months. Plus there aren't any big Zelda titles on the Wii U yet either, so it isn't competing with itself which is what LM:DM certainly would be doing, especially if you factor in how much bigger the 3DS install base is compared to the Wii U's.

Well it was done with castlevania mirror of fate and resident evil revelations in the same time frame.

Wii U does not need 3DS ports...I hope this isn't true.
