I will say while for the long term this isn't gonna be a big deal (especially since retail games are halfway dead this year, at least before October), but I would vastly prefer Nintendo to pay some money for a quick port or 2 at this point. Dark Souls and Strider make the most sense to me btw.

I was really hoping for an HD remake of a Gamecube or Wii title to help fill in the summer months, but alas, I guess not. Still have a small chance of a surprise ND announcement though. Going into this year I thought Bayonetta was going to be the big summer release.
For the record, retail games on PS4 before September are sports games and The Last of Us Remastered according to the list I read.
Not counting indies, sports games, and download only, I can think of the Metro collection, Sniper Elite III, Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare, Diablo III, The Last of Us, Transformers, dunno what else. Still kinda slim I admit, but this will be the third major drought for the Wii U (spring 2013, spring 2014, summer 2014).
This is not a good thing and Nintendo should be treated harshly for still allowing this to happen, indie support or not. But I'll say I'm way less mad about this than I thought I would be. I guess deciding to spend my effort towards eShop games this year was the right choice...

Considering the lack of third party support, Nintendo should aim for a major release once every two months, that can include HD remakes, etc. instead of stockpiling for the holiday season as the norm. I still think Nintendo has something brewing, late September is a long time away and I think most people are not excited about Wii Sports Club.
For the record, between now and Hyrule Warriors there's:
Pushmo World
Transformers Rise of the Dark Spark
One Piece Unlimited World Red
Wii Sports Club
Disney Infinity 2.0 (only by a few days though)
Numerous indies
I'm guessing Nintendo will release some more download titles in the near future but it is a bit barren.
At least for me personally, this isn't a bad thing.
Gives me some time to start saving some money for the big releases I'm interested in, as well as get through some of the games I haven't found time for.
I already put the funds for Pushmo World and Shovel Knight, and very hopeful that Armillo hits not long after that. I haven't even gotten all secret characters on MK8 yet.
And technically Wii Sports is completed in June. It is the physical version the one that gets a July release
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.
