Well the PS3 was ina pre xbox live arcade world. We know that were going to be getting indie games as well as smaller games for Sony studios each month. Plus again the Japan Launch is going to be in 2014 and the PS4 is getting most cross gen games. plus betas for stuff like elder scrolls online should keep you sated.

I mean thats the fear of getting anything at launch and if that was the case you might as well get a PS3 or 360 since even the Wii U has reports of lock ups and the latest patch has caused some people some problems.

Of course indie games take time to make as does most other real games but some will be ports and alot of the indes have talked about the games already being in progress and its easy to port to PS4 due to power and X86. The witness from Jonathan Blow will be at launch and the indie eight among other things are all slated december to early next year. Don't Starve, outlast, and secret ponchos are early since they're going to be some of the first PS+ IGC games.

I'm not saying there wont be droughts but from what we know it won;t be any where near what you get on nintendo consoles. I mean technically the 360 had a pretty dry drought earlier this year but I didn't feel it since it got every major third party release. Most consoles go on droughts for first party content (but some guys like sony have gotten better with game placement) but when you have good third party support it cushions that blow. I think if nintendo consoles weren't so reliant on nintendo themselves we wouldn't have this problem.

Okay, you do make a point in everything, except the launch problem. I'm not talking about unstable OS, I'm talking about hardware failures like RRoD and the YLOD.

I agree that but those problems aren't usually fixed until the redesign. Still I'd tell him to wait till August/September as thats when were going to hear of a possible price drop.

If you buy it, I recommend the Deluxe Set. Just about everyone else here will tell you the same.(I have a basic set because it was a suprise gift.)

Yes, but he's already getting it for 200GBP, which is 100GBP lower from an Amazon deal. Even if a price drop happened, it won't go beyond that.

I'd say grab one than. Pikmin 3 and wonderful 101 are soon So it would be worth. There's still enough time to get a WIi U and ave up enough for a PS4 by december. I'm still saving but despite planning to get a Vita in december i'll still have enough money to get a PS4 and two games in November.

I say buy it now, it's completely worth it. Nintendo Land, New Super Mario bros U (plus its DLC), Lego City: Undercover, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Pikmin 3 (which comes out in a few weeks), and Zombi U are all fantastic titles that will definitely keep you occupied until the really hard hitters come out this December. The HD graphics are beautiful, the Gamepad is a very comfortable and versatile controller, and the OS is pretty fast as well. Definitely worth your money!

Ok, sorry to resurrect this discussion, but after much deliberation, I decided to buy one. When I loaded up Amazon.co.uk to find out that the price has gone back up to £300. Same with Shopto.net and everywhere else.

So now, I REALLY want one, but cannot afford one.

My new question to you all is this: Should I sell my unused Xbox 360 with 20 games bundle on Ebay, and if so, do you think I could get close to £300 for a Wii U?

Favourite games of all time: Sonic 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, Final Fantasy 7, THe Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Halo 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last Of Us.

I think if you're willing to sell it and you really want one, go for it! I think you may have to scrounge up an extra 20-50 pounds, depending on how well you sell. If you sell the games separately, you may get more. It will be more of a hassle, but it may pay off more. I would personally keep the Xbox and save up for Black Froday or a sale, but if you really want it, go for it!

I'm seriously considering it as I will not be purchasing an Xbox one, and am all around tired of Microsoft. I'm loving my 3DS right now and hate reading about all the awesome stuff imminently hitting Wii U. I don't mind paying the extra cash. Although, my Xbox is an elite, and I'm not sure if I'll get a lot of cash for the older model. Hopefully the sheer amount of games I have will tempt.

We don't really have black Friday over here, we just have to wait for a price cut, or grab a cheap one on Ebay!

I bought mine two weeks ago and have been playing constantly. I also own a ps3 and Xbox and the Wii U is just as good as those consoles. What the Wii U can offer you that the others don't is Nintendo's magic that lies in most of their games. I'm so happy that I finally purchased mine.

My Wii U has rejuvenated my faith in Nintendo. Big thumbs up...

If you really don't like your 360, then go ahead and well it. I might wait to buy the Wii U even if you well it, just because the price is at a high compared to recent months, but I did pay for the ZombiU bundle over in America, which is the most expensive one. I think the Wii U is worth of, having bought one just a week ago, so you won't regret selling your Xbox!

I am not thinking you will get a Wii U unless you love Nintendo Franchises... and no I don't think Nintendo is entirely the problem.. I believe Third Parties are to blame too.. after all we got ports.. except what 2 major IP's (One of which was a Nintendo game) everything else people had been there and played it before.. and it was not like the third parties actually put the budget or effort into the games the way they would say PS4 and XBOX One.. if they had.. there was no reason for them not to sale.. with that being said Wii U did get some definitive editions of last gen titles.. but once again those were last gen and no one is going to buy a new system for those.. (Plus once again.. they did not look better than the last gen systems)

I am a wild and free Ninetails not a trainer.. get over it...

Hey guys,

I have just recently acquired a little spare cash, and I noticed that the Wii U is quite cheap now (£200 on Amazon for premium pack). I have really wanted to purchase one since release, but I'm a bit apprehensive now as a lot of people are saying that it's not selling and there are not a lot of games on the horizon.

I was just wondering what you Wii U owners out there feel about the console at this point? Is it worth buying if I already own a 3DS, Wii, PS3 and Vita? What does this console offer that no other does (apart from the first party support).

Thanks in advance for you help

I own a 3DS and since my Wii U I have never seen my Wii again. Never had nor wanted anything Sony nor Microsoft (in videogames, that is). The Wii U experience is a must for my living room, but this is the saying of a hardcore Nintendo fan. Therefore, to be completely neutral, if you want to buy the Wii U right now, do so with a game you want to play then discover the console by yourself: plenty of people on Miiverse will be glad to help you.

P.S.: That game could be Pikmin 3.

I don't think you'll get that much for selling your Xbox 360, but it depends on model and games you have.
I sold my Xbox 360 Gears of War 3 edition with the Kinect and 4 games for $270 on eBay. Somehow, people were getting more than that for not as good of bundles compared to mine, but it was an auction and I had no control over the price.
If you can get even half of what you paid for your Xbox 360, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. I was in the same situation as you, and I still had a PS3 or PC for media.
I just hate it when people charge the same price or $5 less than new. I can buy an Xbox 360 w/ a 20GB HDD for around $50, so don't ask too much.
