Topic: Looking for some reviews/opinions on the Wii U

I'm really yearning to go back into Nintendo gaming, and seeing how the Wii U is brand new I figured now is a good time to do so. But what do you all think of it in general? Is it worth the price? Or should I wait to get it? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, would you kindly?

Ryno

I don't think it is going to be cheaper for a little while and yes I think it is worth $300.00. I bought mine at launch for $350 and don't regret it.

I brought one 2 days ago - I haven't owned a console since the playstation 2 sometime in 2003. I switched to PC gaming until I got a wii U

I am plesently supprised at how good the operating system is, PC gaming is often shut off from others (steam is the only social program I use) but on the Wii U you can share your gameplay, drawings and comments with everyone else who owns a Wii U.

The box is good as a media device with it's netflix, YouTube and amazon video support. Ofcause you can go online via web browsing and visit the e-shop to buy games and trial demos.

Its great seeting mario in HD, the console is very powerful and very well made. I would recommend it to anyone.

I love Nintendo, Sony & Microsoft - why? I am a true gamer.

The Wii U is pretty good. I've played/beaten Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends and Wind Waker. All great games and worth getting the system for IMO, especially if you missed Wind Waker the first time around like I did. I think when more releases come out it'll be more recognized and appreciated as a worthy system. Well, I hope anyway. Tired of all the depressing Wii U hate.

As far as the hardware goes, it's a surprisingly comfortable control and has a really nice UI. Good for watching Netflix and what not. The Miiverse is better than I expected as well, it feels fresh.

The system itself is fun. The gamepad is great, and the system is a good upgrade from the Wii. However, whether or not you should buy it now is dependant on the games. If you think there are enough games to keep you interested in the system until more come out then get it, otherwise I'd wait for the games you really want, and maybe also a price drop.

The Wii U is a great console. Though let me be non biased, the Wii U has its pros and cons.
The Pros
Wii U will have great games
Its Nintendo
Very Innovated
New Networking features

The cons
Lacks games at this point
Has OKAY Networking

In all if you want a new game console the Wii U is great, but still has its some ways to go. The Wii U will have a great library starting in 2014
with Mario Kart 8, X, Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros., and other titles.

I could go Super Sonic!

I would say to wait a while if this were last year, but at this point there's plenty of games worth playing on it now. From Monster Hunter to Pikmin 3, and there's even Super Mario 3D World next Friday. Go for it.

Well, it all depends on the games. Do you like the games offered on the Wii U? If you do, then I say go for it. I personally love my Wii U and I think it's worth the price.

I agree with @Yakuri_Sendo on this one.

A year ago would have been taking a gamble on whether there will be enough games for you to play throughout the year, but now there's plenty of games to play.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Cod Ghosts, Pikmin 3, ZombiU, Resident Evil: Revelations, Pokemon Rumble U, Toki Tori, Lego City Undercover, VC games, etc. games are all there as soon as you get the system. Plus, Super Mario 3D World will be released in a week which is a pretty sought after title.
Then there's Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, and Super Smash Bros. to look forward to next year, with Zelda Wii U being close after those, probably.

Go for It if you love Nintendo get it
If you love fun get it
If you love playing with friends get it
If you love Playing the game and going to the internet without turning the game off get it
Awesome Indie games
there are cons though
Hardly any third party support
No unfied account to go on other wiiu's
Your gonna have to buy a hard drive to play download full retail games if thats how you get games
Multiplatform games are most of the time worst on WII U (save for rayman legends and Batman orgins)
other than that yeah totally get it now Since you can get NSMBU&NSLU for 300$
