Does anyone know if they're working on anything for the Wii U apart from Wonder Flick?

Considering their success with Nintendo, albeit on portable consoles, it seems like a no-brainer to get them working on something for the Wii U if possible considering the quality of their games. A localized collection of the Wii Inazuma Elven games or a brand new RPG would be very much appreciated.

It's frustrating to consider the amount of games they've had do incredibly well on the DS & 3DS but their neglect of the Wii U so far - although a multiplatform alongside the PS4 and XB1 is more than most I suppose.

A Ni No Kuni port/remaster would be excellent as well.

I dunno, more often than not Level-5 is terrible on their own, so I'd just hope that if they make something, it's with the help of a different studio. Though sometimes those are terrible, too **cough*RogueGalaxy*cough*WhiteKnightChronicles*cough**

I used to like it but I was replaying it not too long ago and oh my GOD that battle system. It's not quite as bad Star Ocean 3, but it's damn close. An annoying recharge guage, all of two attacks with no variation between characters, with the most interesting thing being the occasional skills you can pull off, which is at least pause-menu based, but that does kinda break the flow of the battle. The enemies are pallette swapped to hell, with only one new type of ennemy every level, if that. The characters and story are as painfully generic as it gets, and by Space Chicago the pacing hit a wall as you're forced to wander the grimdark city and @$$brown mines doing random crap for a no coherent reason.

Even the crafting system I thought was so great turned out to be lame. Just grind your current weapon until it hits max level, them combine it with random items (or another similar-looking weapon) for...the exact same weapon, but maybe with some updated stats, but overall still works exactly the same.

The only things that were really interesting were the art style and sound. They really used a variety of environments, which is nice, but being on the PS2, it still looked pretty muddy, especially by Space Chicago...

Seriously, I know it's supposed to be like Diablo, which also had a simple combat system, but Diablo at least had a fast pace and interesting spells you could quickly pull off, and you got the new weapons from chests and drops, not pure grinding...

Yeah the Inazuma Eleven serie is rather popular here in Europe - it's like the new Captain Tsubasa. The Wii was sold in a bundle with Eleven Strikers...I played it once at a kiosk and I thought it was awful (it's not a RPG like the DS games, it's more of an arcade football game done badly - and I love arcade football games). I remember Level-5 announced a multi-platform RPG way back in late 2012 but I lost track of it since then.

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

Wonderflick. I think there's been news here and there, but I guess nobody on the websites I go to cares because I haven't seen much of it. :T

It doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. I think it's because it's supposed to be used with Tablets (which is why the Wii U will be the best version ), and you know how hardcore gamers feel about smart phones and tablets. Untitled

Except White Knight Chronicles was co-developed with SCE Japan. Ni No Kuni's gameplay was entirely created by Level-5, and Professor Layton is also Level-5 on their own.

I know, that's why I mentioned it's still terrible despite also being co-developed.

And the gameplay was easily the worst part of Ni no Kuni - if it weren't for the great story, art, and music, it wouldn't have been nearly as praised.

Professor Layton I'll give you, but it seems the series got better after NoA had a steak in it...

Level 5 became my favorite JRPG studio after SE went all to graphics whoredom. I've been waiting on WonderFlick for what seems like years b/c I like crappy games like that. I'ld buy anything they made on Wii U but they seem to be happy on the 3DS and tablets so not expecting to hear anything. And I can't say I blame them - 40m 3DS and going up after last week, vs whatever Wii U is up to now, has it even hit 7m yet? I'm pretty sure Wii U will get Wonderflick and maybe some other Yokai Watch type stuff but I'm not expecting them to make an epic JRPG for Wii U. Maybe not for any system. If you can make a profit making cheap app games why invest millions in another Dark Cloud, Rogue Glaaxy or WKC?
