Topic: Let's talk about how awesome the Wii U OS and design is.

Feature wise the Wii U OS isn't finished but from a UI standoint I love it,

Hell the pic of the eshop alone is really well designed especially coming off of the 3DS's.

The overall UI is more of refined 3DS OS with more depth and ozzes nintendo flair.

I just came across ANOTHER negative Wii U article and I was like.... "Really... >.> Can't we stop all this bad press until a few months later?". ANYWAY... back to your topic.. Yeah, Eshop looks GOOD on Wii U. Hecka. Good.

It's pretty cool and way better than 3DS' bizarre, random categories. My only issue is I will never like the apparent hatred of putting a noticable border or outline or anything around the boxes. I just hate how that's the cool thing to do now, it makes everything seem less neat and divided than it should be.

But otherwise the eShop is well done, nice, clean, pretty simple to use. Incredibly effective at reminding me that Deus Ex is coming out when no one else will. ALSO OMG DIGITAL SALES CHARTS FOR THE PUBLIC, NEVER CHANGE THIS EVER.

I have the wii shop and 3ds eshop music stuck in my head.

Looking at the Wii U eshop its obvious where Nintendo messed up with the 3DS eshop UI. The way the system is made the touch screen the eshop should have displaying information vertically instead of horizontally.

Miiverse and Wara Wara Plaza I still think are the biggest innovations on the WIi U far greater than the Gamepad. With the advent of indie and DD games becoming more popular social gaming has changed. I remember at launch being at a friends house and we wanted something to play on the system. Wara Wara Plaza has a lot of people playing ZombiU and Trine 2 so we decided to look up the games on the Miiverse and after seeing the good reception the games got we hit download button.

I love the UI for the Wii U eShop. Incredibly clean and sophisticated, as well as easy to navigate. Very well made. I like Miiverse as well, although I think Wara Wara Plaza leaves a lot to be desired. I feel it would be better if it wasn't completely reliant on Miiverse as it is now. Maybe a mix between Miiverse and what Microsoft does with the 360 dashboard would work better. To be fair, though, it's definitely different, and definitely not useless. I think it could be a bit better, though.

As for the OS... ehhhhhh...

The eShop looks like it's 100% of what it should be: Simple and to the point.
There could be more going on in Wara Wara Plaza for the most part. The "app screen" on the GamePad seems like it could have more features as well.
I say this alot, but the "full" OS should bring alot more to the table, come fall time. We'll see how they improve it.

I really like the Wii U's OS, the eShop resembles iTunes, which is great, and the icons on the home menu have a nice shine to them.

It's refreshing to see a positive topic.
