I have heard zero buzz about the Wii U. I can't even find a console specific review. Does anyone know if it utilizes off-TV play? Does the gamepad have any additional functionality? Will there be an eShop release?
This is probably my next purchase. Everyone on Miiverse is raving about it, it's getting five stars on U.S. Amazon right now, IGN gave it a 9.0 ( as did EGM )
"Wii U owners will get a couple of GamePad specific extras. In the NYC hub you can set waypoints on the map that will reveal a stud trail to guide you to your destination. Also, in co-op mode, one player will use the GamePad screen while the other uses the television—there’s no split-screen required."
I'm not sure about off TV play, or eshop release, but I wouldn't rule them out. If I pick it up today, I'll post about it, if nobody else does.
It does have off screen play, I had started a thread the other day here and mentioned it. Problem with these forums not having a good search function, if don't search through the pages manually you never really know what has been posted.
Hoping the get it up on the eshop soon and get the DLC up. Looking forward to playing more have been playing with the wife and enjoying it.
I picked this up after work, easily one of the best, most fun Marvel games Ive ever played. All it needs to be perfect, are the Inhumans... and maybe Alpha Flight.. If you're a Marvel fan, you need this game!

I want it on the eShop, but the logo doesn't show up on the game's website (it shows PSN and Xbox Live, and it's already for sale at those marketplaces), so I'm afraid it's not going to happen. I don't understand why, though. Every other Warner Bros published game has come to the eShop.
I have Lego Marvel in my plaza now, ( which is kinda odd because the line-up hasn't changed in weeks.) If I click on it, the eshop button appears. If I click the eshop button, it says the title isn't currently available. Maybe it's still coming?
Still, you should grab it anyway you can, it's a fantastic ( sic ) game! If you get the boxed version, you can stare at it longingly while your Gamepad charges! Or take it to a friend's house, or lookit the purty pictures until you see them in your dreams.
That's what I'm gonna do.
Excelsior!

I do remember last year that Batman: Arkham City released on the eShop a couple weeks after the retail release. Perhaps this would be the same situation. Oh, well. The Xbox 360 and PS3 even received a demo.
The game is coming to the U.K on November the 15th and I am looking forward to it,the open world hub "New York city" looks a great place to explore,o.k it won't quite match the size of Lego city undercover's map but it will still be pretty cool.
My biggest issue with the Batman 2 map was it was very tough to enjoy exploring the map with all the criminals pestering you all the time,so it looks like they have sorted this out with Lego Marvel.
