@rjejr: but Lego Dimensions Wii Us has already got DLC. It's why you need to have to have an internet connection. To download the new packs.
Not really, that was stuff already announced and implemented in the game, you just need a figure to unlock it. Anything released post Slimer wave will be DLC.
Any new pieces released for the game will be expected to work on all systems. If there is additional DLC, not sold on packs in stores, then that may not come to Wii U but I doubt it. I think they will continue to support the Wii U and hopefully Nintendo makes a deal with Lego, similar to their deal with Skylanders. Could you image Mario or Zelda Legos?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I don't understand why DLC for Lego games have not made it to the Wii U. I understand why other games don't come to the system or why DLC doesn't come also, but I always thought that the Lego games sold very well on the Nintendo systems. The install base in general isn't good for the Wii U but I'm willing to bet that the age group that the Lego games target has a large presence on both Nintendo systems.
I'll be honest, I have yet to play Dimensions. My oldest son beat it late last week and my youngest son has only played occasionally. I asked my oldest son if there were anything to do in the game now that he beat it and he said no. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not, or if there's stuff to collect, or unlock? He's only 9 so he may not know. -Thanks!

@dkxcalibur: I believe it has a build mode, where he can build whatever he wants. That may not draw to him if he doesn't like that type of gameplay. I think certain packs that you buy in stores have levels with them but I am not sure which ones or how much content they actually have. I heard the Doctor Who pack comes with levels but it will take about 30 minutes to complete.

He has the Simpson, Back to the Future, and Ghost Buster level packs and I believe he finished them as well. I'll have him check into a possible "build mode".

@Spoony_Tech: It's my understanding that the Midway Level Pack contains classic games, but are those "lego" versions of those games or direct ports of the games. I apologize in advance if that is a dumb question.

Is there a way to stop Lego Dimensions from freezing as often?
And moderators, I contacted Nintendo Life using the the email, and they said that if the topic for the game the question is about isn't active, that the members can generally post a new topic so this post should be allowed. Most people would call a topic which hasn't had any activity for around 3 and a half months inactive.
This thread seems a little inactive, so I'll try give it some life.
How is everyone finding the new Year 2 content? I personally haven't bought any of the new packs, but all of the Adventure Time packs are a must have for myself. I've played a small portion of the first level of the new Ghostbusters levels since the original Ghostbusters characters allow you to enter the level and it seemed pretty fun.
What packs and franchises are you guys looking forward to within this year?
Are they actual lego figures but attached to a base?
Basically can my son play with them, potetially lose parts and render the figures not 'electronically' working in the game?
@gavvybiggs There are certain pieces you can't lose. We keep all the legos from the game in one container. And yes they're just regular legos like you would normally put together but the have a base with all the information on them.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

Ta!
Do you get the LEGO minifigure blind bags? If so they're somewhat like that (except you see what you're getting). You get a minifigure and micro vehicle to stand on a base, except instead of a black 3x4 plate with 4 studs, you get a round blue disc with 2 or 4 studs on top and a chip inside. You can lose the LEGO men or other parts, but as long as you have the blue disc, the character can still be used.
My newest team pack is Harry Potter. So far its great.
Sadly I too have freezing problems mostly with jurassic world. Its freezing just a few seconds after loading. I have not been able to play the level at all. The team pack works in other worlds/levels which is great. Other than that issue Lego Dimensions has been a great game.
Update: I did the update for the harry potter world and it solved the jurassic world freezing. At the time I posted this I had only tried out the characters and had not completed the level update
Groupon is selling heavily discounted LD starter packs for several systems, including Wii U, plus a bonus $10 off coupon this weekend. Free shipping, too!
Sorry to drag up an old thread but I have a question about this.
Are the story packs (Batman Movie/Ghostbusters Movie) available on Wii U? I don't want to shell out money for content that never made it to Wii U.....
