So apparently the $60 on the eShop is an error. I just got an e-mail from Nintendo saying it costs $50 everywhere including the eShop, and searched Google to see if I was the only one charged $60. Other people saw the incorrect price as well, but I purchased it last night at 10:40 p.m. when it pretty much first appeared and payed what it asked because I wanted it and that's what I thought it costed anyway.
Looks like I'll be calling Nintendo for $10 back.

The game isn't all that great. I have played for like 2 1/2 hours and the story and the gameplay still hasn't taken off yet. The game just makes me wish I was playing GTA instead. Don't get me wrong, it is funny as hell. There has been some parts where I have loudly laughed, but the gameplay is repetitive. So far I give it 6/10.

Kinda typical of the Lego games to get repetitive. I was hoping this one would mix it up a little bit more but from what your saying that was just wishful thinking.
I think it's ok. It's more suited for kids. There's alot to do in the game, so it will take a while to complete. I'll have Monster Hunter to play tommorow too, which will probably take up more of my time than this.
The loading takes about 30 seconds average.
I'd give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 so far, but I've only played it for about 2 hours.
Nintendo said the $60 I paid was a glitch and they fixed it this morning, so they're gonna call me in the next few days to refund me $10.

I keep hearing that this game is a lot like the other lego games, so it kinda kills the fun and freshness of it a bit. Lucky for me I never played a lego game so this will feel completely new!
Well I visited a Gamestop, a Target and Best Buy. All said we had to wait until Wednesday. The guy from Best Buy even had the game in his hand and thought it was impossible for the computer to say it was unavailable for purchase. Stinks, because today's my brother's 9th birthday and now he has no presents! Hopefully this doesn't happen again with future games.

I have a Poison Safari with Mothim, Seviper and Muk.
Update: I got a little farther in the game, and it is getting a little better. They are introducing new concepts which may spice things up a bit. I like it so far. I had a hard time putting it down to eat and shower.

YOu can always download it from the eShop, its available there now.

So why do so many places say release date is tomorrow where everywhere I look like NL, IGN even the Wii U eShop etc it says today is the release date?
The guy at Gamestop told me that the game didn't have a 'streetdate" which I can only assume means delivery date. He said the computers said they were coming today but then went blank.

I agree. It does get better farther in the game. At first it's kinda slow and eases you in to concepts and gameplay that's pretty standard, then they let you run around more freely.
If you're thinking of buying this game, take note it takes a while to get more into.

This sounds like the exact same situation as Fire Emblem: Awakening. It's not like Nintendo is new at releasing video games; they seem to have done a good job of it for the last 20 years or so. It seems suspicious that two high profile games could be surrounded with so much retail confusion, especially with Nintendo encouraging buyers to download titles from the eShop.
I'm excited to be able to get my hands on this game after so long. The added little Nintendo extras are what I'm looking forward to finding the most though. I'm sure they'll leave a smile on my face.
@Sgt_Ludby Now that you mention it, it does seem odd. I'll chalk it up to there just not being enough awareness for this game. The marketing person at Nintendo in charge of the store awareness should have his head examined if this continues though.
I'm not to worried about a few more days to wait though, I've got Fire Emblem Awakening to keep me busy till then.
