Bestbuy online is out of stock and Walmart started their pre-orders today.

Well good news for the system, bad news for me. I have yet to make that pre-order and was mulling it over last night if I was to get it from Best Buy. Looks like I have only Walmart as a choice for now, though I don't like it's bundle setup with needing to get a Wii Remote Plus as well. Another option would be Amazon, but who knows if they will start pre-orders anytime soon.

They will all probably get more stock before launch. I reckon they do this to build the hype

Wait, scratch that. Target has it up for pre-order as well, and with no unnecessary extra add-ons to boot. Guess I'll be doing them.

Edit: Just tried putting one in my cart and they don't have any.

Grr.... Makes me hate my grandma for not letting me preorder it, with her excuse being: "They have to make enough for christmas"

Lucked out and went with K-Mart. It'll be shipped, but at least I'll be getting it within the week of it's release.

Eh, I would if I could, but I'm going to have to wait till Christmas; pretty sure $100 dollars isn't enough... Ah well, I'm sure there will be some in stock by then!

good thing i pre-ordered mine yesterday from both best buy and future shop.....i'm going to cancel one but it depends on what gift cards i get from my two sets of parents.

I'm trying to get it pre-ordered. I thought I could wait a day, but NOPE! CHUCK TESTA! Any ideas of where to get it from?

should of reminded her what it was like when the wii launched, it was next to impossible to get one if you didn't preorder and when a store did get a shipment it usually sold out by the end of the day. And I would expect a similar situation this Xmas season with the wii-u

I REALLY wanted deluxe! But that guy at gamestop called me said i could reserve it for 25 dollars cheaper on weekend! At least I was able to preorder basic. Hopefully they get more in sock later.

yea it seems if you didn't preorder on friday your pretty much out of luck

Also, will all first party games released day one be downloadable on day one?

I was able to order a deluxe from Best Buy today. They didn't even know they were taking orders!
Edit: Which was hilarious because they had a giant Wii U sign. XD

Guess I'm not getting one if there is going to be a hunt for it like with the Wii. Plus, I want the deluxe version but in white. My Playstations are black, I don't need another dark system color. :/

I just preordered from Toys R Us, had to pay in full too. Target is sold out of deluxe, as is Kmart. All that's left is Toys R Us and Walmart, but Walmart requires you to bundle it with a game and controller. This is all from online though, it may be different in person.
