AFAIK, Europe always get's Kirby games later than the rest of the world. They probably wouldn't even have it in the Direct if it wasn't mentioned in the other directs. Not that I like Kirby games (never really liked them), so this delay doesn't really concern me.
I just hope NoE could freshen out the release schedule. Now they have nothing dated after Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, which comes out in January. Hopefully, Nintendo has a Direct on January to announce some more dates, at least Yoshi's Woolly World, Splatoon and Project Giant Robot would need dates. The "one game a month" policy is great, but it really needs to be just that.

Mario Maker is also a first half 2015 release according to the NoA preliminary schedule, that would need a more specific release window for NoE. Personally, I guess there might be a Direct in December, like they had the last years.
I appreciate the fact that Nintendo now creates such visually well-defined universes as shown in the artwork, and still keeping each universe visually appealing. With just a short glimpse on the artwork/gameplay for a game, it's easy to say that it's Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Wooly World, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker or Splatoon.
Compared those titles to the E3 footage of Mario Party 10, which just used a generic 3D HD Mario visual style, which to me feels much more dated.
It's interesting how many Nintendo games have varying artistic styles:
Mario: bright, colorful cartoon visuals
Donkey Kong: darker cartoon visuals
Yoshi's Woolly World: cute yarn visuals
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: cute claymation visuals
Splatoon: very bright, colorful anime visuals
Game & Wario: 2D visuals with black-eyed characters
And the list goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Cartoo.. err.. no cel-shad.. realistic!! perhaps more impressionistic?

Out of the games mentioned, I personally feel that Game & Wario is the only one that doesn't have a appealing graphics style. In fact, I'd say the graphics was one of the reasons why I stopped playing it. It's especially the animations that feel too "South Park" instead of "play one more time!". OTOH, I really appreciate that Nintendo make these visual gameplay experiments, because they get it absolutely right it in those other games.
Why is this game so cute?! I can't wait for this to release.

So did we find out if this game is a full 60 monies, or a budget 40 monies? Not that I don't think this game looks fun and beautiful, buuuuut I don't want to pay full price for it at the moment.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

I am simply not a Kirby guy. But hey, I hope for those that are into this that this is yet again a Nintendo critical hit, because whatever else happens, at least critically they are doing awesomely with the recent releases (look at me conveniently ignoring Sonic Boom...). Whilst you happy Americans are hopefully enjoying this, I guess I will be part way through Cap'n Toad.

I entirely disagree, but I put almost way too much time into Canvas Curse.
I hope this one also has techno remixes of old Kirby music.

I love Kirby, but I'm also not too big on paying full price for a 2D Platformer. It's just a smaller scale experience, such that I don't really want to fork over full price. I'm even a bit reluctant about Triple Deluxe (though that's more because there are just so many other games on 3DS I'd rather spend $35-40 on.
