Can we call it a delay when it has always been announced as coming in the second half of 2015? The only thign we know now is that US gets it in february, it's not like the pushed it back from an earlie date

But why does the US get this game in February and Europe in 2H 2015? Delay or not, it still sucks.

But why does EU get DKC and DKL, Brain Age (for free) and Game and Watch Gallery 3 on VC in 2014 and US get them later if at all? Later or not it still sucks.

It's a pointless argument, as there's plenty of stuff that NoA exclusive on the eShop as well. Kirby isn't just ''another'' $5.00 game.

According to this game's Japanese website, the game takes up 3.5GB and 1.5MB for save files. The game has three save files.

The first player also has to use a Wii U GamePad, while other players can use the Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller, or Class Controller Pro.

3.5GB wow, that means Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is not so little after all.

That is actually pretty small for modern games.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I hope you can unlock the ability to play as Meta Knight & Dedede like in Canvas curse. Or at least have Dedede show up in the game, I wanna see him in claymation so badly!

I meant that in comparison to Captain Toad with the same budget price

It's just between Captain Toad and Mario Kart 8 (without DLC) in space requirements.

Does anyone else think a demo for this game could really help spur sales?

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Well the older audiences probably don't need to since they've already played Canvas Curse, but the younger audiences would certainly benefit from that, so yeah.

Has anybody ever actually seen this game listed anywhere at a budget price? It comes out in 5 weeks in the US and most places list $59.99 w/ only Target at $49.99 but a date of 5/31/15. (I haven't tried any EU/UK retailers since it's months away from release there.)

It comes out in 2 weeks in Japan, anybody know the price compared to Captain Toad and normal game prices? It was rumoured to be $3700 YEN so $30 US but my Google search for an actual Japanese retailer isn't going so well. Play-Asia only has $59.99 US.

@rjejr Wait another week or two. Five weeks is still too early in my experience to tell the actual price. These are still placeholder prices.

If this game doesn't end up being $30 or $40, then I will be canceling my pre-order. There are just too many games coming out next year, I'll have to move it to something else, and wait for Kirby to get a price drop. The game looks very nice, and it looks like it could be great fun for a while, but I don't want to pay more than $40 for it. I've got Splatoon, MGS5, and even Yoshi's Wooly World to worry about. Hopefully Yoshi is only $50 like Donkey Kong was, but even if it isn't, it looks like it could warrant having to pay $60 for it. Kirby on the other hand, looks to be a fun little game, but not exactly worth $50 or $60.

Makes sense considering some of those sites still don't have a date. I'll be back on the 23rd

Oh, and I care b/c my kid is looking forward to buying this w/ his own money. Hes only 10, but he'll notice the difference between $40 and $60. Though I still want a $50 bundle w/ the Kirby amiibo. Not mandatory, as a special edition option, like the UK offered w/ the Mario amiibo and SSBU.

The game only has 28 levels, wich sounds pretty low (I don't remember how many levels Canvas curse had though). And while the game looks nice, it also looks very slow. But I buy it anyway. Canvas curse was great, and Triple Deluxe was MUCH better then I expected (It was my 3DS game of 2014). Funny thing is: Kirby games always seem to come out of nowhere. I mean: Almost no hype, and then massive impact. At least it works for me that way.

Canvas Curse only had 22 levels. Don't forget there are 40 challenge stages in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as well. The levels are usually quite long in Kirby games, so I don't expect the game to be too short.

Thanks for the information. There are also collectable figurines from the looks of it, so I guess there is enough meat on the bones.

@rjejr iirc, cap toad was 3700jpy when it was released, too, so we can reasonably expect this game for 39.99usd.

Except we're talking about Nintendo, so reasonable expectations are off the table.

2 arguments -

1. Captain Toad was $40 so Kirby is $40, done.
2. Captain Toad was $40 so if Kirby is $40 do they then have to make Yoshi's Wooly World $40 as well? And then what abut Mario Maker? We don't even know if there is a "game" in that game. Can they sell a level editor for $60? Minecraft is $20 on consoles, Pushmo is $10. Disney Infinity gives you a huge toy box but also some real adventure gameplay.

Splatoon should be $60 as Nintedo enters their brave new world of online mutiplayer.
