@Gioku that's also true but either choice is great as the circlepad controls are smooth too, I've just got too used to KI:U's fast aiming so the gyro feels better

@GuSilverFlame slightly off-topic, but speaking of KI:U, Pokémon Y's super training screwed up KI:U for me; I've gotten used to the way you aim in super training, and when I went to play KI:U I got all messed up!

@Gioku whoa! gotta go back to Kid Icarus later to see if I'm not rusty then! super training forced me to use my right thumb to aim(and once again a game with no support for the lefties... )

and the controls are probably better, I love using gyro controls to aim, it makes everything faster and more precise!

Yeah I thought so... I guess I'll save this game for when / if I get a 3DS. Why don't they have gyro controls on wii u? I really can't go back from motion controls /wii pointer controls in games where you have to aim.

Unfortunately I could never beat the final boss lol (on the 3DS without the CPP).

As much I like this game, and the graphics are amazing, Resident Evil 4 Wii is better of course. RE4 on the Wii is definitely one of my favorite games of all times. RE5 sucked.

well, once you get his pattern it's quite easy as it keeps it the same almost the whole battle only going a little faster sometimes and adding one attack or other, but always predictable.(this is coming from someone that took 7 years to complete Kirby 64 100% and that can't get past chapter 2 in Fire Emblem Awakening on lunatic mode)

I tried, but I just could not hit him on time even though I understood there is a pattern. It was an epic fail.

I had issues with the first Scagdead boss... I am not looking forward to the final boss, lol.

I think Raid Mode is probably the best part of that game. It's just a shame that hardly anyone is online on the Wii U version, otherwise I'd probably play it more. I think I beat the game on the hardest mode available, on my first playthrough. I can't remember if that unlocks a harder mode...

@dumedum it took me a few tries and it'd be nearly impossible without the gyro controls that boss teleports! it's unfair with anyone using the circle pad to aim(the facts I waited for more streetpass hits to get more ammo and kept the rocket launcher to the very end also helped a lot)

the hardest challenge there is in this game is beating it without healing(no infinite rocket launcher allowed either) even if on casual mode.

One day, one day I'll get back to it! I didn't use the gyro because of the 3D IIRC.

@GuSuliverFlame
What are you talking about? You mean the achievement things? I don't really go for those. I just play the game for fun.

The second and third chapter are by far the hardest on Lunatic mode, it took me a good 50 tries before I got it right.

How come nobody seems to talk about this game? And I don't mean on this sight, I mean the fans in general. All they ever do is talk about how much they hate 6 (which I don't but that's a different story). To be honest this is the closest to the original we've had in awhile. I'm pretty sure it sold well, maybe not as well as 6. I originally played Resident Evil "Revelaitons" on the 3DS and played it again just recently when my friend brought over his Wii U version. Its a lot better than I remembered. Amazing soundtrack, true to the series controls, occasional frights (one got me pretty good), great tension with the whole Rachel and "Mayday" scenes, great story without being needless complicated. Its probably my new favorite RE game to be honest.

Soooo...CAPCOM....where's my sequel? You can't just give me that cliffhanger ending and leave. You have by 2015! Make it happen!

IDK I think most people didn't pay attention to this game because 1) It's a hanheld game 2) RE: ORC and RE 6 were just around the corner 3) This game came out at the moment when the 3DS was barely getting good (before this game the only notable games were super mario 3D land and MK 7) so while it was successful it missed a lot of attention normal RE games get. After 6 bombed I think people just didn't want to give this game a chance. Also OMG I want the next sequel to this game so badly!!! I loved this game.

It looks like a Resident Evil game I'd genuinely enjoy (demo was decent if a bit short compared to recent demos). Which puts it right there with 4 and ALMOST NOTHING ELSE EVER

Tried the demo, and was really disappointed I have to be honest. Mostly, I felt like the controls are a step back from Wiimote controls of RE4, and it's not the same as RE1 or Zero where you don't have to aim in the same way with the dual analogue.

That, and the graphics were sort of disappointing to me (which is usually not so much of an issue for me).

All in all, I think I concluded that this must be better on 3DS.

Am I wrong? Please tell me why I'm wrong. I want to know why this game is awesome, even after having tried the demo and not liking it so much.

I'm guessing you weren't using the 'classic' control scheme. either way, this game looks better on the 3DS plus it's in stereoscopic 3D. I can't believe Capcom didn't include pointer controls, they just slapped the wii u version together and called it a day. I can't be bothered to use an analog stick to aim this time around. Like you said it's a step back in favor of tacked on by the numbers uninspired game pad screen implementation. booo

Classic control scheme? What does that do?

Also, I think it's possible to use wiimote and gamepad support, just look at pikmin 3. Should be an option at least.

. RE4 is hands down the greatest game to grace my GameCube, Wii, and now Wii U. RE5 is that bad though? Damn, I have the game in shrink wrap sitting by my PS3. Can't be that bad, can it?

I liked RE5. It wasn't as good as 4, but it was still ok. The only thing they really added to that game was co-op and some improved visuals. The story and stuff wasn't that great either, but the gameplay was mainly the same, so I liked it.

I actually liked RE5 better than Revelations, but whatever. The definitive version of RE4 is definitely on Wii.
