Jump Ultimate Stars is a 2D fighting game for Nintendo DS where characters from various manga(One Piece,Death Note,Dragon Ball,Black Cat,Naruto etc.) fight each other. It's kinda like Super Smash Bros. but the player can defeat the adversaries both by knocking them off-screen or by emptyng their health bar(wich is the character itself,he will turn black and white gradually). Before the battle the player can choose wich characters he want to use, both fully playable and assistants(If you choose the assistant Kira/Light Yagami from Death Note,He will write the name of the other fighters on the Death Note and they will die in ten seconds). If your first fighter dies the other one(s) will keep fighting but all the fighters the player choosed can also be switched in mid-battle. The roster is huge and there are no clones, only unlockables stronger versions of the same characters with a moveset different that their weakest version. The characters are straight from their manga,no anime.

I've heard nothing but good things about it. But I never got to actually play it on the DS.

I definitely wouldn't mind a WiiU game.

Looking forward to: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

I think it would be more likely it would be on 3DS, if at all. Keep in mind, that Smash Bros. will be on Wii U and 3DS, and will most likely overshadow a similar game like this. Wii didn't have a DS Smash Bros., so that's why this was probably made anyway.

There are games for Wii U, you know.
3DS XL is better than 3DS, IMO.
I'm all hooked up and ready to go.

I'd want it on a region free console, so I could actually play it.

My brother is a big fan of Shonen Jump characters, he would definitely love this to come to Wii U. But that would be impossible for Nintendo to localize it because of licenses.

I'm sure Namco Bandai could do it, though. I think they already own half the licenses. :P

This was actually revealed back in December and just last month they held in a contest for people to vote what 3 Shounen Jump characters they'd like to be included.

I would like this game, but I'd rather buy an english version. So still no for me, unless it comes out here in the U.S.

Unfortunately, your silly little Shinigami have been forgotten and left behind, and much better characters are in the spotlight. :3
