They did and they didnt sell well.
I think most Wii U owners just arent interested in their games.
You mean Rayman Legends? Because that game did sell better on Wii U than it did on the other platforms. And that's despite all the controversy and rage it induced. I'd be willing to bet that it would have sold much better if it had launched earlier and wasn't competing with games like Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker HD. If it had launched in February 2013 it would have been one of only three or so Wii U games worth buying. Plus here we're talking sales of a third party Wii U game in November 2013 vs sales of a third party Wii U game in November 2014. We're talking relative sales not absolute.
I highly doubt that them holding onto game and not making money from it now will pay off. The loss from waiting for a larger install base, which is a gamble in itself, won't pay off if Nintendo start overshadowing everyone.
@skywake
If it matters, I haven't bought Rayman Legends, because other games came out. I was all up and ready to buy it in Febuary, but then things came up, and I wasn't even one of the people that was ticked off about the delay. Hell, I'm still considering to buy Watch_Dogs on Wii U, and I still don't have Rayman Legends, and I could easily buy either on my Xbox One, right now.
I'd honestly recommend buying Rayman Legends over New Super Mario Bros. U, then buy 3D World as your Mario fix, but the delay has definately effected my buying decision. I still think Ubisoft was better off releasing it as a multiplat, but Watch_Dogs probably wouldn't still be planned if Nintendo had that same simultaneous release clause that Microsft has. Who knows...?
