Topic: Itagaki

I'm a little confused. I understand that nintendo is funding Valhalla Studios Devil's Third game ,but today i got the Itagaki Mii on my 3DS. His little Mii said he was from Nintendo. So is Valhalla Studios basically a Nintendo studio now?

i know, weirx huh? i've never received a third pary mii ever. i've been wondering the same thing.

I kind of hope he is part of Nintendo now as they need a mature action game specialist.

Off topic i was saddened to see Kamiya appear for Microsoft as i was really hoping Platinum would basically become a 2nd party dev for nintendo

Maybe they just have it set up as to where any Mii they send to you says "I'm from Nintendo", regardless of their actual position?

Maybe in the grand scheme of things it makes more sense to have him just from Nintendo. A: A Mii is not actually the person in question speaking, the Mii itself is only a representation made by Nintendo's marketing department, and B: If a Mii popped up and said 'I'm not from Nintendo, I just make M rated games and I've snuck on here to scare your children', it may freak people out a bit.

I just assumed that it was the standard, but this is an ENTIRELY valid point.

Itagaki is fond of Nintendo's way of doing things, but I doubt they'd go as far as bringing Valhalla Studios under the Nintendo banner.

On the other hand he really hates Bandai Namco and Nintendo has a close relationship with them too...

Unless Nintendo pulled a Miramax and developed a sub brand for more games with a high T to M rating.

Holy hell that would be amazing.

I think I've said before that they should make their own Touchstone. Would be perfect. Put them on an FPS, right away!
