Well, Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of the Wii downloads becoming available on the Wii U eShop, so maybe that points toward a revival of the franchise? Galaxy 2 is a no-brainer, and Punch Out! I believe is the other one, and we just saw Mac in Smash Brothers. So maybe.....

Sakurai only added characters who were in recent games or going to be in games in the future. So I bet another Punch-Out!! is coming.

They still have Metroid, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, more Mario Sports Titles and a few other character games that can be released still. I'm hoping for a 2D Metroid game (not FPS), and I think Paper Mario and Animal Crossing can really benefit using the controller pad (imagine the designing you could do in Animal Crossing).

A 2d platformer, 3d graphic modeled, 60 frame per second Metroid please.

Oh yes, it is! So many amazing games will be released this year: Splatoon, Xenoblade X, The Legend of Zelda: Wii U and so on!

The question is will Metroid be announced.

Not if it's buried on the first page. See now on the second page nobody remembers the OP. People are going to start answering this topic's question in relation to all sorts of things.

Well, Punch Out Wii is a kinda recent game. And does that mean that Duck Hunt and Mr. Game and Watch are due new games too?

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Well, you actually kind of answered your own question. Dunk Hunt was given a lot of love recently with the re-release onto the VC, and I have no idea why you bring up Game and Watch? My original statement was that, of all the Wii games available, Nintendo chose to initially make Mario Galaxy 2, Wii Punch-Out!, and Metroid Prime Trilogy available. I think that's interesting, that's all. In my eyes, that could point toward some more Metroid stuff in the near future. If you disagree, that's fine, but please don't be snarky about it.
