More generally speaking:

Hardcore gamers are the ones that complain about "high prices" for games the loudest, insist on buying second hand games, and loathe DLC with a passion. They buy so many games they feel entitled to have their games at the expense of the developer and publisher's profitability.

That's if they don't just pirate the games.

Hardcore gamers are the ones that try and ruin the commercial future of a game if it is, in any way, different to THEIR idea of what a game should be. See the Metacritic user rating for DMC - the hardcore gamers did that.

I'm thinking about renting DMC tonight. It honestly looks good, emo Dante or not.

Look at this dudes name. Does that not SCREAM troll? That was a trick question, it totally screams troll.

Actually my name comes from the fact that I used to troll Sony a lot.

Also saying that Microsoft as a Publisher is about quantity while has some truth to it is pretty asinine.

If Microsoft lacked quality they wouldn't have multiple games up for the Dice Awards.

Halo 4
Fez
Mark of the ninja
Dance Central 3
Forza Horizon
Trials Evolution
Dust an Elysian Tale
Mine craft
Kinect + fitness

Microsoft when it comes to Xbox live arcade game has a high Quantity of release which every developer honestly should have. On the retail front not so much but most of their games in both retail and XBLA are highly rated.

Nintendo won't do cloud, so if you want that, you better start saving for PS4 at least. Seriously, my Wii U is at MY house, so I'm goona go play it at... my house. 3DS doesn't even have cellular internet, so cloud would be basically useless unless you want to sit at Starbucks, or McDonald's. I for one, don't linger in areas other than my own unless I have to. When I go somewhere to buy stuff, I get in, get the goods, get out. PS Vita has paid 3G, too, so if your conservative to the very core, you'll probably never even use cloud because of fear your gonna run out of data when you absolutly need it, which is never BTW. Can you even use your PS Vita as a cell phone? If anything, people should be complainingabout how their PS Vita can pretty much do anything an iPad 3/iPhone 5 can do(even better, I think), but doesn't. Specs can make content better for sure, but people can hardly get things going for Wii U without saying it's 'too hard', so I can only imagine the amounts of rivers people are going to cry when that little jump shatters their confidence, than say it's the tech like Wii U. Whatever...

How many of those did Micro actually make though? I'm guessing they roll dice in the dice awards?

Giving funding to games is what publishing entails. Microsoft publishes games with promise and they turn out very, very good. Game of the Year good. Mark of the Ninja and Fez are easily two of the best games this year, download or otherwise.

@SCAR392 Keywords: games with promise. I can't think of any games that Microsoft published outside of Kinect games that turned out even mediocre. Only good stuff.

To add to what moomoo said Microsoft pays for the development and helps where needed when it comes to making the game. In most cases Microsoft owns the IP so it for most purposes a Microsoft game.

If the rest of the game is even half as good as the demo, I'd say it's definitely worth a buy. If I weren't $5 short, I'd have bought it already.

Fez and Dust are fantastic, I wish more publishers would fund wonderful download projects like those.

Dust is breathtaking. One of the best games this gen and sorely underappreciated.

This I definitely can agree with. Sure, there are a few love or hate aspects to it, but overall I'd say it's definitely great. Would be nice if more people gave it the time of day. Only two people on my friendslist own it, and I think only one of them played it (he loves it, though).

I would love if Ubisoft would nut out a deal with Sony to make it a PSPlus game.

They can't be selling too many more copies of it now, and it's a game that I think people would be inclined to try if it was free etc.

It would be good for Ubi's reputation as a publisher of indie games, too. Win for all.
