Hardcore gamers are the ones that try and ruin the commercial future of a game if it is, in any way, different to THEIR idea of what a game should be. See the Metacritic user rating for DMC - the hardcore gamers did that.

Giving funding to games is what publishing entails. Microsoft publishes games with promise and they turn out very, very good. Game of the Year good. Mark of the Ninja and Fez are easily two of the best games this year, download or otherwise.

This I definitely can agree with. Sure, there are a few love or hate aspects to it, but overall I'd say it's definitely great. Would be nice if more people gave it the time of day. Only two people on my friendslist own it, and I think only one of them played it (he loves it, though).
