@ShadJV, they told me they are going to hook it up and run "diagnostics" whatever that means. My dad told me that they probably have the ability to pinpoint whats wrong. And I hope that's not all they do, already heard rumors that the freezing still continues. If it does it even once after the update I'm sending it back again. Unless they can guarantee us a patch is coming soon to fix it.

Might be cause I haven't had any crashes through Miiverrse or Online.

Downloading update now, will let you know how it goes.

Sounds like you should call Nintendo and make them aware of your problems. Its possible last nights update wasn't targeting Miiverse notification bugs. I've only ever had the console freeze in Nintendo Land and Mario u and now since updating, both seem stable.

its a pity u couldnt connect ya wiiu 2 the net via a LAN USB adapter ... because these crashes could be caused by wifi interference. :(

I have 40mb and never crashed in Miiverse or online, only the once during assassins creed 3. Thinking about getting the LAN adapter. I would prefer it to be plugged in.

I will say I cant tell that the menu is any quicker. Still the same 10 second slog between menus

my wiiu has never crashed, I'm on a fast connection & it's snowing outside lol .... Try going wired 2 rule out wifi interference ... if it still crashes then its either ya net connection or ya wiiu that's possibly knackered.

Ah ok so we might be onto something here....hmmm....maybe , just maybe its folks who have a slow or intermittent connection who are experiencing crashes , lock ups etc in nintendo land , miiverse etc ?

Well, even a person with a fast connection might still get freezes if it is related to online usage. Nintendo's servers may be the ones having the problem, considering the use they are being put through now is rather high.

It could still all come down to the DUD factor... I would be sending it back to be checked. Those systems were probably put together during the FOXXCON scandal when quality control was kicked to the curb just to get the systems out in time.

Yes point taken about foxxcon , but i still dont think its a hardware issue as when im offline its perfect. hours and hours of gameplay , menu navigating etc. Nothing. And also when my machine is online and im playing a game....Nothing. Its just the messaging service. If it was hardware im sure i would have noticed something else.

I had a few problems with my Wii U aswell, mostly on SMBU as the game crashed my console every single time on the cutscene. The system also crashed on Nintendo Land but was at random times, so I thought it wasn't really hardware related. Other than that, I could do everything else normally and play Nintendo Land offline with no problem. I traded SMBU for a new one, and the problem persisted so I just traded the console. The new one hasn't crashed once, not even on Nintendo Land with all the Miis walking about and saying stuff. Don't wait any longer, send it back, I'm pretty sure it's a faulty system.
