I have seen the new footage of Sonic Lost Worlds from IGN and it seem very clear that its not new or revolutionary its just Super Mario Galaxy engine with Sonic integrated into it

What do you think ??

I definitely hope not, I realise I'm very much in the minority here but I wasn't blown away by galaxy, personally I would prefer if it plays more like sonic colours.

there's nothing that's certain... of that you can be certain

Me too, though from what I saw...well, I'm not getting my hopes too high...

It kind of looked that way from the trailers I saw yesterday.

Nah, sure it has the gravitation stuff on SOME levels but as you can see they are not working at all as they did in the more platforming-based Super Mario Galaxy games. Sonic is not as "free" as the Super Mario games. Also the game offers the same gameplay as Sonic Colours.. the gravitation levels is not all there is.

And also Sonic Team did gravitation already in Sonic Adventure 2, which was out 2001.

I think that it bears more resemblance to this, no?

Either way, I don't really care, since I love Galaxy :P

It certainly seems like it, though it isn't. While the gameplay is very similar, it is just a combination of Sega'a awesomeness and Nintendo's AWESOMENESS. I am glad to see that this game has influence from SMG; for I regret ever selling Galaxy. At least, Mario 3D for the Wii U is coming... :)

Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 3, Zelda Twilight Princess, & Metroid Other M
Hyped for: Sonic Lost World, Super Smash Bros 3DS, & Dream Team

Even though I have beaten many of the games I'm still playing, I play them not to win, but to have fun.

There's a little bit but it's a lot closer to Galaxy. Although to be fair of the three levels in the IGN demo the first one was a lot like Galaxy and the second one wasn't much like Galaxy at all. I don't think Galaxy did it's 2D stuff in that way at any point. All of it's "2D" areas were either on a flat plane or on the surface of some sort of tube.

That Sonic level was much, much more like the sort of 2D you'd see most of the on 2.5D platformers that aren't called "Mario"

The fact is we need more games like Galaxy, so why complain that a different game looks similar? If no games were allowed to appear similar to each other in gameplay at all we'd have an incredibly small library of games.
