Topic: Is Nintendo Hinting a Kirby Air Ride Sequel, or is it Just Wishful Thinking?

So, I've wanted a Kirby Air Ride sequel for a REALLY long time, but I've never really seen anything that's even hinted at a sequel. Until today's Nintendo Direct. First, in the Kirby Triple Deluxe battle mode, there were boxes from Kirby Air Ride's City Trial mode. And then, In that video that introduced Rosalina, it started with Kirby Flying through space on a star, AND it was playing Kirby Air Ride music. Not to mention Sakurai made Kirby Air Ride, and I mean, if Nintendo isn't hinting a sequel, then why would Kirby be in that video in the first place? It was kind of representing Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and... Kirby Air Ride? So, do you think Nintendo is hinting a Kirby Air Ride sequel, or am I just wishing for it too hard? Also, would you like to see a Kirby Air Ride sequel? Of course, if they did make a sequel, it should focus on City Trial, with more cities and online play and stuff. What are your thoughts?

...I think it's just... wishful thinking? Honestly IDK... for a moment I thought Kirby was gonna be in Mario Kart 8, or that they were gonna announce Kirby's new racing game... but instead we got Rosalina is SSB which is equally awesome.

Maybe Sakurai wants to make another Kirby Air Ride game, but he has to finish Smash first.

I thought they were hinting that kirby would be a playable character in Mario Kart 8.

I was kind of thinking that, or at least hoping that. Sakurai was disappointed with KAR, but maybe he wants to go back and perfect it? I sure hope so.

I was quite disappointed when the trailer turned out to the Smash Bros.
A new Kirby Air Ride is right up there with Pokemon Snap as games I most want to happen.

Another Kirby Air Ride would be awesome! The hours my sister and I spent on City Trial were well wasted.
It'd be a day one purchase for sure.

i still dont really get what they were implying with the kirby thing. i really thought kirby would be playable in MK anti gravity star kart included.

I was thinking Kirby was going to be playable in Mario Kart 8 when I saw him.

You know what the worst thing about this is? That video literally started how I've always imagined Nintendo would announce a KAR sequel. I got so excited, then the video started glitching up, then I saw Rosalina in SSB, and I was like "How did that turn into this?!?!"

I think everyone was hoping for kirby in MK8 and then Nintendo crushed our dreams

They might chuck him in considering how excited people got at the idea.

I think Kirby playing in MK 8 has a better chance of happening also it was pretty obvious we were all thinking it when all the racers showed up.

I think Kirby is gonna end up in MK 8 AND his own game for Wii U. That trailer was throwing wayyy too many hints.

Yeah I'm hoping for a sequel too, first game was great...but it did seem like something was missing...Grand Prix? Bigger City? Moar courses? yeah I dunno, lol

@DarkwingLz I'm not even trying to hype it up. I looked at the trailer over and over and I keep thinking... "Why the heck is Kirby here? Oh that's right... He's gonna be appearing on Wii U more often someday."
Kirby wasn't random.
He was in the trailer because the guy is adorable and Nintendo wanted to hint something with him.

Why were the karts even in the trailer? Super Smash Kart? lol
