I just now discovered Project M and I wanna try it out. But, I'm wondering, Can Nintendo know that you have any hacks in Wii mode and ban your Wii U as punishment? I don't have a regular Wii.
No. There is a Wii built into the Wii U. However, you cannot perform a full hack. You can do a soft hack with an SD card, but if the SD card is ever inserted in Wii U mode, the Wii U will start deleting files. It will be perfectly fine if you insert and remove the SD card in Wii mode.
