Topic: Is it just me or does anyone else use their Wii U mostly for the browser and Virtual Console?

I've been using it more for browsing and Netflix than I thought I would.... but I still play retail games a lot. I just got Super Mario World from my Club Nintendo points and have been playing F-Zero- also from points. I'd say I spend about 40 hours per month on games and 20 with browser/Netflx and have about 6 hours on virtual console.

What's up with this Wii U browser praise anyway? It's slower than a PC and doesn't have a keyboard. Lack of open source/customization is also a turn-off. Just what does it do that I can't do on my PC with more convenience?

And yeah, I use my Wii U pretty much exclusively for games. Browsing, Netflix, etc, etc, that's what I bought a PC for.

Yeah, pretty much. After Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, my Wii U has gone back to a Netflix, TV browser and Virtual Console box. There just aren't any worthwhile new Wii U releases.

Console=/= PC so I'm not sure why you're making that comparison.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

I use mine as a dust collector. It helps keep the dust from my PS4.

Um...why?
You could damage both systems doing that

I mostly use mine for Netflix......
I have eight retail games and a couple VC games. I've just been too cheap to go and buy another Wii U game. That and I'm working away on my PS3 backlog.

I use my laptop for the browser/internet surfing stuff. I used the Wii U browser for like five minutes and shut it off.... it's not that exciting.

Because people seem to be choosing to use their Wii U browser over a PC?

Well, I don't really care for PCs. The Wii U is more than sufficient for what I use the internet for. I can watch YouTube, Twitch, check my email, go to NL or IGN, etc, and I can do it all on my HDTV and sound system. There's rarely a time when I go to a website that requires flash, because that stuff is usually old stuff, anyway.

I only use my PC for the rare occurrence that I can't do what I want through Wii U, like access files from an SD card, burn a disc, etc.

Also, Wii U's browser is better than Xbox One's.

EDIT:
@CaviarMeths
BTW, you can use a USB keyboard on Wii U, or even the Xbox One.

This is assuming that everyone prefers or has a PC, or that it isnt more convenient for someone to use their Wii U to browse the internet.
I have a laptop but only use it for work related stuff for the most part. Most of my internet browsing is done on my phone despite my laptop being a superior electronic device.

Used the browser A LOT last year before late April, which is when I got my computer. Now, with it being fried for almost a month, I have returned to the Wii U's Internet Browser. That's also the reason why the Wii U eShop Sales Thread isn't updated as fast as it used to be.
